well this is a bodybuilding site, theres tons of information. Hit the articles section and read up about weight loss. Construct yourself a diet, a workout routine, and maybe even take up a sport for some more cardio. You can change your body, its not as hard as people make it out to be. You have 100% control of the outcome, it just takes your commitment.
About making yourself look better, here are some tips:
I dont have skincare problems but I hear eating fruit, washing face dailey etc is all good. If you have chronic acne probs see your doctor.
Dress nice, atm your body is not very good but you can still wear clothes that make you look good, buy a nice suit, jeans, longsleve shirts, wear a watch etc...
Shave regulary, Do something with your hair that suits you. If straight hair, put some jel in it and mess it up a little. Maybe a shaved head if thats you?
Another part of making yourself look better is body language, dont slouch, dont have your head down etc, read up on that
good luck buddy

u're looking better already. my advice is the big three: diet, cardio and resistance training (ie weights). get onto them and stay committed and focused, and you'll be on the right track.

Lookin much smoother in the new pics. Now ****in run your heart out and get rid of the fat. Run every morning before you eat, eat alot of protein, minimal carbs and cardio everyday. Your not guna find the perfect program, so just do what you know NOW and keep learning and perfecting it.
lol (i dont like my smile) made me laugh, nothing wrong with it dude, smile more (but not too much), increases your sex appeal.

Hey man you look better allready!
You might want to do weighttraining besides cardio too. The more muscle you have the faster you can burn the fat of (believe me I know!). Read up in the excersize forum on some good compound lifts, how to diet properly, how to take better care of your body and do it!
Try finding a lifting buddy in the same boat as you, having a friend in the gym is half the work.
I am serious you can do anything, just look at my greatest inspiration, Mauler97:

thread:
http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showth...light=mauler97
He is a serious inspiration to what you can achieve in a very short time and with a disciplined liftin/cardio/diet schedule.
There is enough inspiration to find on these boards!

One other philosophy of mine is that you should start hardcore weighttraining TOGETHER with losing weight. You are going to be in your noob gain era when you start lifting and losing weight fast and gaining muscle at the same time will give you a balanced physique at the end of your weightloss. If the musclegain was good you won't nearly have as much stretchmarks as when you would lose the weight first and then start weighttraining since your muscles fill up some of the space that is left by the fatloss.

Basically you need to build up your self confidence becuase cardio, diet, weight training and all that stuff will get you to 190 pounds and you will look better and feel healthier, but will you see yourself any more differently? I mean what is going to happen to you if you lose all the weight, get all dolled up and ask a girl out on a date and she says no? How are you going to feel? Like everything you did was for not?
Learn to love yourself and stop putting yourself down the more you dump on yourself the worse things are. If you don't want to be with yourself then why would anybody else want to be with you? Being young blinds you from the truth alot of the time. The truth is that girls, all girls, women, bitches, and chicks, love men who are confident in themselves. Confident men are perceived to be strong, like being the ALPHA male. Now were do these men gain their confidence? Through money, possessions, physical skills, or appreance and that give them confidence to do what you admire. Meanwhile you are on the sidelines hating on yourself.
What ever you decided to do, do it for yourself and not for anyone else because this is your life and you are the only one who's going to live it. If you are seeking acceptance from your peers then you can forget about it because you need to accept yourself first. If not, all you will be is the fat kid who lost weight and nothing will change. If you accept who you are and love yourself you will become someone else......you.
Hope this makes sense, I'm speaking from experience here.

Very good post Big Ern!
You are right on every account. However, I learned that through weighttraining my confidence levels rose a lot, I always was more of a wallflower and a pushover, I am completely different nowadays though and chicks dig it big time.
I also learned that chicks aren't my main reason to lift anymore, they come in 8th or something now. I would not understand why you wouldn't lift weights for nothing but girls. During my 'journey' I learned it is about Yourself and not Someoneelse.
This is very hard to understand when your selfesteem is low, he needs to find out for himself what his reasons are and I am sure they will change overtime.
A chicklifter isn't gonna stay in the game.

So, that's pretty cool, you got advise from total strangers, you actually followed up, and here is the big surprise, IT WORKED.
you're looking good already, keep your appearances up. and get a good program and diet and stick to it. This site is amazing as a a motivational tool.
people will not only encourage you, but they'll care and they'll follow up. keep at it and you'll be glad you did.

Wow, you guys really make me feel home
i was expecting a comment such as "han han you ugly" or something
you guys are really appreciative
Very nice and motivational speech there Big Ern, Thank you
Its speeches like your which really lifts up a man
I think I let myself down. Seld-esteem dependant a lot on the appearance, but not entirely. Gotta pick up my self-esteem and confidence
Big Natural is also right, i am not doing this for chicks only, Its family, friends and people around me as well. Gotta impress everyone. When you are fat, people dont value you as much and expect the least out of you. Cant play any sports or anything. Gotta have a gym buddy who can also teach me some sports too.

#1) you welcome, but, it's not a speech...it's the truth.
#2) I don't want to seem like a therapist but you really seem to impose some high expectations on yourself based on what you feel others expect from you. My question to you is this, What will your friends and family benefit from your getting in shape? I've been a competitive bodybuilder now for 2+ years and my friends and family haven't seen one benefit from it at all.
See your family will love you and accept you no matter what you look like and what ever happens to you. Your friends are your friends for a reason, they like you just the way you are and if they don't then they aren't true friends.
Girls, well girls come and girls go and you need to understand that. You'll meet many that will love you, many that will like you, and many that will have no use for you what so ever. Along the way you will find many many many girls that are materialist or ego driven that will like you today and leave you tommorow. Eventually you will find one that you not be able to live without and when you do she'll love you for the same reasons you family loves you. For you.
That bring me to my main point. Who benefits from you getting in shape? Who is the only person that actually care how you look like or feel like? You do, so why go through all that trouble for somebody else when you should be doing it for the person that cares the most....you.

You are not ugly dude, you are just fat. What chicks dig the most out of a guy is their body, they fill secure with a big and strong guy. You have that native american- latin type look that some chicks dig, with around 12-15% bodyfat and your face slims down you will look good. Also shave every day... when I was young I thought I looked bad ass when I started to grow beard and I would let it grow all week looking disgusting.... you wont look good with a facial hair until you are old. Loosing weight is easy, gaining muscle is the hard part.
1) Read up on the Nutrition part of the forums and set up a diet under your maintenance lvl.
2) Run or do some sort of cardio 35-40 minutes every day. Or at least 3-4 days of the week. Dont pussy out on this its the hardest thing to do but without cardio you wont magically lose weight. Get an ipod so you can listen to some tunes while you run.
3) Get a job while you're still in HS and save up all that money to build a bad ass home gym and an electronic weight scale. Just working for like minimum wage 2 days a week (6 hours a day) in some ****ty job you can make around $400 in a month ... with that get a power rack from ebay (around $200), get a 300 lbs olympic barbell set ($100 at any sporting goods store) and a good bench (also around $100). With that starting set you can do all 3 compound lifts (bench press, deadlift and squats).
4) Get an empty gallon of milk, fill it up with water every morning and finish it by the end of the day. You will end up pissing a lot but im gonna guess 30% of your weight right now is just water retention. WATER IS VERY IMPORTANT.
so in conclusion, do a lot of cardio... hell start right now. get your ass up from the computer chair, put on some shorts and a t and do some laps around your house. At first you're gonna drop weight really fast cus it will mostly be water, but if you keep up with the diet and cardio FAT WILL COME OFF... its not hard.... just have patience.
I wouldnt worry about building muscle atm, cus to build muscle you will need to gain fat eating over maintenance but it wouldnt hurt to do some pushups, bench presses, deadlifts and squats.

Great advice man! I care to disagree on your last statement. When you are a seasoned lifter gaining muscle and losing fat at the same time is very hard or impossible, however, when you are in your noob gain fase you can pretty much gain some muscle and lose weight at the same time, it is like your liftershoneymoon. But like you said some squats won't hurt .

Ok, people have covered most of them but ill add, hit the gym 3-5 days a week, train with heavy weights, use reps 1-6 so you can still build the muscle while cutting GIVEN this is your first time training. Stick to basic exersizes such as bench press, squats, deadlifts, barbell row, and overhead press. www.exrx.net will show you how to do these. Along with the lifting, eat a healthy, yet plentyful diet full of protien and vitamins, dont worry, 190 is about 50 lbs and if you work hard enough you can lose that in 6-7 months, i lost 80 in about 7-8 months. Dont forget your cardio, do some running for about 15-20 minutes 2-3 times a week.
Good luck man.

you took the first step, keep going!!!
hey,
this is a GREAT place for encouragement and information.
Tell you what.. ALL DAY go out till it gets dark and walk to the store, school, etc. Play hoops, soccer, sprints, whatever. get a friend who will play outside w/ you, but not playstation!
Then when it gets dark, get the hell on this site until bedtime and search and search (READ!!!)the nutrition section, and the exercise section. If you don't have weights, look at the sports section and look for some fun challenges to do outdoors (drills, etc).
Also, stop by the journal section and check out some of the inspiring stories of people who ARE living out their goals!!!
DO IT TODAY!!!!!!!
