New to sushi, need some help

Aright, well I never though I would like sushi, but my cousin took me to a nice sushi place yesterday and I have to say, Wow. I love it! But the question is, what types are good to eat if I want to stay on the clean side. The tuna wraps were good as were some of the others (can't remember names), but I wanna get some sushi for lunch today and I'm not to good with the names of sushi.

So, say I wanted some tuna sushi, what types are good?

salmon, tuna, yellowtail, red snapper...in any form really. i just eat it plain with a lil wasabi and maybe some ginger maybe some avocado too.

just stay away from anything fried or anything with spicy mayo.

Not sure what your asking?Sushi literally means rice, but here are a few
different styles.
Nigiri- Small rice balls with fish, etc. on top.
Norimaki- Sushi rice and seafood, etc. rolled in dried seaweed sheets.
Temaki- hand rolls like california rolls.
Sashimi- raw sliced fish.

Normally what you'll find is Norimaki which is the nori rolls filled with different ingredients which may or may not have any seafood it them.....The rice will make or break a good feast of sushi.Good luck.Everything in moderation, but the Sashimi will be the leanest then the Nigiri.......but there all good as far as I'm concerned.

I love salmon or tuna (commonly called ahi). My absolute favorite is hamachi (yellowtail). You can get it w/o the rice, just ask for sashimi (no rice). i like to mix soy sauce with a lot of wasabi and dip it.

Do you mean good as in healthy or good as in tasty? Either way, sushi is healthy, you really can't go wrong.

As far as what tastes good you have to try things and find out for yourself. Impossible to say which is good because the same 2 sushi rolls at 2 different places will usualy taste completely different.

That being said I like salmon the most. I like rolls with eel, crab, salmon, cream cheese, fish eggs, prety much all that stuff. The stuff I think isn't very good is nigiri shrimp (usualy kinda tough and bland), octopus, sometimes tuna is kinda tough depending on the place you go to. Salmon is the best fish for sushi IMO.
