Situation with a girl a used to talk to

ok last september i met this girl thru a friend and we chilled for a about month all the time....talked about dating and what not and considered turning it into a serious relationship

well this guy who lives closer to her starts calling her and what not and to make a long story short, she started dating him cuz he went to her school,etc,etc.....to this day they are still bf/gf and she is still friends with the girl i met her thru.....well the other day she was like " i miss hanging out with him and what not" and just went on with it and was like i cant believe its been a year since we 1st met eachother....so i called her the other day
and was like......

ME: "hey you know our 1 year relationship is coming up here shortly so what do you wanna do"
HER: "suprise me"
ME: "how without making your BF mad"
HER: "he wont be mad so suprise me"

so basically, i want to suprise her with somthing that isnt too crazy but somthing that will make my name pop back into her head.thanks

well bro, what'd the two of you do when ya first met? Unless it was something super lame, try goin back to that and play the "remember" game... only take it a few steps up.... sounds like you should be smooth with this one, take it slow, but don't take too long. Make a move, she doesn't seem to care about what her bf thinks or... about him at all. She's probably bored with him, but you took too long the first time. You're getting a second chance. If you like the girl, go in for the kill. Whatever you plan for the evening, this is your chance to move in. Go for it bro.

This is where you ****ed up big time in two short sentences:
1st you asked her what she wants to do...YOU NEED TO LEAD YOU ARE THE MAN
2nd You complied to surprising her. It makes her seem like the prize. Plus you might feel pressure to "surprise" her.
3rd you asked her how to surprise her! YOU LEAD
4th you brought up her BF

Don't worry yet though. She probably doesnt realize how bad you ****ed up and will still probably see you and may be excited still.
