Good healthly and low carb foods/snacks for late night, right before bed...?
I always get really hungry right before I goto bed. I try to avoid high carbs before going to bed. So does anybody know any foods that would be good to eat before going to bed? I sometimes eat cottage cheese, but it isn't my favorite food in the world, and I get tired of drinking shakes before bed, because they usually don't 'fill me up'. So if anybody has any good food they could tell me I could pick up at the store, that would be prepared already, or only take a minute or two to fix, that would be great.
Thanks in advance

Try putting some cinnamon on your cottage cheese, or splenda...or both! Makes it taste better. Cottage cheese and broccoli are my pre-bed "snacks." May not sound appetizing, but you wake up ready to hit the gym hard.

Started with the cottage cheese before bed about 2 weeks ago. Eating around 225g and tried mixing it with a few different ingredients;
- light strawberry jam and splenda
- chocolate whey powder
- peanut butter
- marmalade and splenda
- cinnamon and splenda
- chopped almonds and raisins
- a fibrous cereal and splenda (this option only if I feel my glycogen levels are low and need to carb up/refuel a bit)
All taste good, don't know what I would do without good old CC!!!

cc + 1 tbsp of any flavour pudding mix. they all taste good and you have lots of choices
cc + melted pb
cc + melted pb + fibre 1 cereal on top. delicious and crunchy, though it's not low carb (mostly fibre)
pb and cinnamon taste great together too imo

sometimes if i am really hungry i make a "dip" with a few tbs lowfat sour cream, mixed with skim milk until you get the right consistency. i add garlic salt and season salt.
then, i slice up some cucumbers and celery and enjoy. the whole thing has about 150 calories, and the veggies make it pretty filling.

Just eat carbs you wont loose your beautiful six pack..
Before bed I eat a bowl of oatmeal smothered with REAL actual honey (no splenda gasp) and some eden soymilk, chased with some kefir.
