sauna/steam room for my acne?
hey guys.. i have light to moderate acne (enough to piss me off and hurt self esteem).. i just found out that my gym has a sauna/steam room.. i was wondering if i go in there everyday for 20-30mins (while drinking tons of water cuz im on creatine).. and then directly washing my face with AcneFREE products right after.. will this help my acne? i currently take 6g. fish oil daily, and i have taken vit. b5 but it doesnt really seem to make any difference.. will using the sauna/steam room with direct wash rite after help clear my face up?

accutane works, i used to have real bad acne and now i only get like a few occasionally. Neutrogena "on the spot" with 2.5% benzoyl peroxide helps too.

i honestly dont have anything close to needing accutane.. ive used the neutrogena "on the spot" stuff and that helps a little, but in order to really get it where u need it, youll go thru a few tubes a month

take antibacterial soap, a rough cloth, usually wash cloth, or those shower scrubs and wash ur face
also, try some poison oak, sumac, ivy, etc. soaps that will suck the oils straight from ur pores

thats if you get 10% benzoyl peroxide, u gotta get the 2.5% and it wont irritate your face, just kinda put a thin layer all over where u get acne usually.

yeah.. the acnefree system has some % benzoyl acne wash (step 1).. then a toner (step 2).. then benzoyl peroxide formula which i think is like 3.6% (step 3)... im really gona try to get into the sauna on a daily basis, and then wash directly after going in.. and see if it helps.. hell, maybe ill even go into the sauna more than once a day

The sauna itself dries out your skin tremendously. If you decide to use any acne products after, it'd be best to use milder ones. Benzol peroxide can irritate if you apply right after.
Most over-the-counter and especially prescription cremes are not meant to be applied right after showers/saunas. You don't want all that **** getting in when your pores are so expanded.

Puberty'll do that to a guy.
Question: Do you wash your face every night before bed? A lot of guys don't. Get a good facial wash, and a nice facial moisturizer (hand/body lotion is far too oily). Wash your face every night before bed (get this apricot scrub from St. Ives I believe is the company, it is in a whitish bottle and is organey I think and has little coarse beads in it). Get that an a lighter wash (the stuff is pretty harsh, don't need it every night). After you wash your face, dry it and apply the facial moisturizer.
Get some vitamin e spray too for during the day. If your skin is dry, it will produce oil to moisturize itself, thus causing acne as the oil also clogs up your pores.

i think what i may end up doing is going in the morning to the gym and sit in the steam room for 20ish minutes.. then wash my face directly after.. go home, take a shower.. do whatever and then go back to the gym for another 20 mins later that nite and do the same
