Question Cutting and Bulking Preferences

Would like a few examples of what you guys do as far as bulking and cutting. I have been on a tapering plan for about 2 months. I am 5'8" and began at 204lbs. I am now at 182lbs. I have pretty decent mass=>16" arms, 46" chest, not sure about lower body but proportional. What kind of goals do you guys have as far as bulking and then cutting. I kindof want my cake and would like to eat it too so I'm after mass and definition. Any suggestion? Anyone with similar body size as mine?

Sounds like we have similar body size, Im 5'9 and like you, I have been cutting for just over 2 months now weighing 183 down from 200. My waist has slimmed down quite a bit, abs are finally starting to show, and my upper body is much more defined. I havent lost any strength during the dieting and people say I actually look bigger now then a couple months back, (with my shirt off)... I know that I am not bigger though and definitely dont look as big as I did at 200lbs in my clothes now, which sucks a little, so I think I know what you mean..
My goal was simple though, I just wanted to look leaner for summertime!

Many a beer has gone in to building my gut(12oz curls). Stay away from those now. I've gone down 2 pants sizes. My strength gains were better before the taporing. Muscle memory is a wonderful thing however. Strength gains may be a little slower now as is my weight loss. I have thought about adding some cardio. My ego stands in my way much of the time. I have always been strong. Never did anything below the waist in college. I work everything now and am making very good gains in deads and squats. I still have fat I wish to lose but I don't want to sacrifice mass and strength just yet. BTW my calorie intake is around 2700-3200 and pretty clean.

Inside of my blubber is a 32" waist, but it is hidden very well.
