Dolphins Give Each Other Names

It looks like dolphins prove to be more intelligent all the time. Do you think they could possibly be almost as intelligent as humans like some scientists believe?

Cool

I definatly think we should give animals a little more credit than we currently do. I hear about stories like this one involving primates, dolphins, etc and they definatly provoke one to think about those animals that we consider "lower" on the chain of intellegence. Is it possible that animals such as these have the potential to develop into entities that we as humans would categorize as "people." What is personhood exactly? It seems that primates like Koko have the ability to learn fairly complex language skills and have exhibited signs of higher order reasoning/thinking. Im not saying that i believe that these animals even have close to the intellectual cababilities that we as humans do, but it makes you think whether or not we sell some animals short. Neway just food for thought.

I saw a little about this on Fox news.. (I hate fox news)...
Anyway... Dolphins are also the only other animal on the planet known to have sex for fun like humans...

They are possibly the smartest animal on the planet outside of humans... Lets just be happy they can't survive on dry land.. We might have a battle that would dwarf WWII.....

Yeah, no kidding. Talk about getting evolutionarily shafted--what the hell are you supposed to do with a pair of flippers?

It doesn't help that they're in the water too. No fire to make tools, etc.

If they were land-amimals and had thumbs, I think we'd be extinct already.
