Tell me why I shouldn't eat Mcdonalds everyday while bulking.
I'm 18, 6'2'' 180 pounds with body fat ~ 8-9%. I've never had any fat on me my entire life (even when I ate Mcdonalds twice a day and never worked out or did cardio) so you could say my metabolism is very fast. I'm doing the best I can eating a ton but grilling chicken three times a day isn't getting the job done. I actually lost 5 pounds on the first bottle of X Factor. If I eat Mcdonalds, I'm not going to get fat, so why can't I eat it?

there is sooo many reasons it would be impossible to list them all. Its not JUST the fact that many people get fat, it is also the fact that you would be clogging your arteries so fast you will have a heart attack by 25. You will increase you chances of heart attack, liver failure, stroke, etc, etc, etc. People focus too much on weight. Being fat is not the only way to be UNHEALTHY. In fact, i know some over weight people that are twice as healthy as some skinny people i know. My recommendation: eat good and work hard. THis way you will be more happy and healthy ALL your life.

Just eat meals extremely high in proteins and carbs every 2 hours.
You may eat Mcdonald's twice a day, but Mcdonald's isn't high enough in protein or good carbs.

if you wanna get McDicks every day, go for it, just keep it civil. Don't drink coke and don't get supersize fries. Get a Sandwich or a couple double cheese burgers, those'll make you grow, besides, it makes the other 6 meals easier to get down. Gotta keep things interesting or you just lose interest.

overtraining comes in, body fat stores increase, lean muscle tissue decreases, hormone production including growth hormone; insulin and testosterone are not optimized as well as many other factors that have a direct effect on your performance

You know, our McDonald's started posting some nutrition facts on their wrappers and I found out that a double cheesburger has 25 grams of proteins. Among a lot of other bad crap but that stood out and I remembered that.

wow i cant believe people are actually saying that its OK to eat mcdonalds twice a day. Sure, thats enough protein but there is a million other MUCH more healthy ways to get that protein and to gain mass. Maybe once a week is cool but twice a day?! Seriously im wit beto_man watch Super size me. A month into ur bulk i predict you will be feeling like sh*t.

I actually worked at McDonalds' and since seeing how the food is made I've never eaten there. The burgers are cooked in pure grease and they even butter up the grills!! It's so unhealthy it's ridicolous. The meat comes frozen by the boxloads and have I mentioned the fact that the burgers are cooked in inches of grease? It's just not healthy period. But it's your body so eat whatever you want, no one is stopping you.
And since you're talking about how high it is in protein read the rest of the nutritional values of a double cheeseburger. 210 calories from fat,23 grams of fat and 80 miligrams of cholestoral. If you want to clog your body with that then go right on ahead.

i say go ahead and eat..
beleive it or not... theres only one formula u need to remember
calories in is bigger that calories out = growth
it doesnt matter where the calories come from... from the point of view of physiollagy...
just remember to get ur protein and healthy fats....
there was a thread similar to this in the nutrition section.. if anyone can get a link for me that will be great.. but the main summary of it was that they couldnt prove the guy that said eat big macs.. wrong.... and he had a lot of support on his side..
wut i did learn from that thread was that although it wont have a big affect on u from the physical perspective.. it will screw up wuts on the inside.... there are a lot of saturated fat in burger.. although claims that there is trans fat have been recently rremoved

that's true, but if lots of your calories are gunna be fat calories, then you will gain more fat than muscel while you bulk. Fat calories are metabolized differently than carbs and protein. If you dont believe me, try bulking on a diet rich is sloppy fats, and then bulk on a diet rich in protein/carbs and compare the results

There's no such thing as "Fat Calories" but what you are saying is true.
If you eat food that has alot of calories and fat, then it will get you more fat than muscle and energy. That's how its metabolized
If you eat food that is high in protein, calories, and carbs. Then you will have more energy, and grow more with muscle than in fat.

I used to eat mcdonalds twice a day and never gained any fat so except for the possibility of clogged arteries I don't see how this could hurt.

2 things:
1) Probably the best posts have been the ones mentioning energy. Eating McDonald's twice a day (why I don't know) is going to kill your energy levels big time. I think it must be all the saturated fat that takes so much time to digest or something but everyone who eats fast food can attest to this.
2) A double cheeseburger has 25 grams of protein? Think about this for a second dude. If you store-bought your own burgers, and used normal cheese, a double cheeseburger ala you would have around 70 grams of protein. If the meat was two normal all beef patties it would not have only 25 grams of protein. The burgers I buy have 32g of protein and 14g of fat (much less saturated too). Not to mention they taste better and the protein is better quality.
Why are you grilling chicken 3x a day? Just cook up a ****load of chicken/burgers and put them in a big tupperware container, then you only have to cook every few days.

I wouldn't eat at mcdickies. The people in the back don't wash their hands, Like some said above they cook their burgers in a ****load of grease, and worst all my friend said to me on his first day the manager showing him the timer to get rid of old burgers, told him to put it back on. So most of the time you eating food that could have been cooked hours ago. And even if you aren't getting fat the cholestral( Spelling?) will kill you.
