Why are REALTORS such ********???
Man, realtors suck... there's the ones that don't show up, the ones that give you the used car salesman treatment, the ones that don't know anything about the area, the ones that are part-time or whatever and give you the runaround, the ones who stereotype... it's just hard to deal with em...
I'm looking for a new place now... I've been looking for a couple of weeks, and realtors I've dealt with provide crappy service... I just finished talking to a realtor, trying to explain this concept to the birdbrain: YOU HAVE TO SEE A PLACE BEFORE YOU KNOW IF YOU KNOW IF YOU LIKE IT... Also, she asked what's wrong with my current place like 50 times.. i kept telling her, nothing is wrong with my current place, but I would like to live somewhere closer to work, and a gym in the complex would be nice as well...
I dunno, I'm courteous, and professional in general, but all the realtors I've come across recently (around 10 of em) don't have a clue!!! Anyone have any suggestions about how to deal with em? got any stories?

requirements they have for becoming a realtor lead it so any dumbass with no work ethic whatsoever can become one. i'm sure there are the good ones out there that work hard and make great money, but that's definitely not a requirement for the job judging by two kids i know who are realtors and others' experiences.

Realtors had it really good for a long time, and most of them were complete idiots.
Story: When I sold my house, the realtor had one open house. I sold it within a week for 550k. The freakin realtor got 4% of that for about three hours worth of work. All the paper work was handled by the escrow company. When moving day came, the realtors screwed it up and they showed up a week early. The buyers realtor was this little prick armenian guy who got to my front door, barged in demanding we leave. When we said no, he threatened me in my own house and said he was going to call his cousins to have me "removed". I warned him once. He wouldn't get out. I beat the living **** outta him AND called the cops. He went in the back of the black and white bloody, and the cops congradulated me on being a good citizen and for defending my family and home.

yea they can be asses I was looking for a house last year and the first realtor I talked to was a real stuckup pr*ck. After talking to him I called another guy from the same company and he was great. If the realtor is an ass he probably is in real life too

I am a property valuer and have to deal with real estate agents a lot. They are retards who don't know sh*t. They give vendors a false sense of hope when they sell and most of the time don't know anything about market trends. Worst of all they give out "apraisals/estimates" which are way off and give the impression of being a registered valuation report.
I WENT TO UNIVERSITY FOR THREE YEARS AND AM WORKING TOWARDS MY REGO!!
Sorry for the rant...it motivates me to hurt people

gutcheck - damn you stuck it to him man! it would be nice if you could arrest all the dumbasses out there, and give business to the good ones only... i can't stand arrogant people in general, especially realtors... one guy just stopped communicating before a confirmed showing, then contacts me three weeks later to see how my search is going and if there's anything he can do to help - yeah, get a life for one!
kidrr - thanks, but i'm across the country from cali...
hhbomb - yeah, realtors don't know jack. if it's not on the mls sheet, forget about it... for rentals, realtors don't know how old the appliances are, what year the buildings were built, or if they were constructed with concrete blocks or poured concrete! pathetic! somehow a lot of them manage to not know jack about the area. today, another realtor i talked to showed me a place that was pretty expensive (there was nothing really fancy about it, it was pretty standard so i wasn't too impressed), and then showed me a similar unit in the same complex for a lot less, then acted like the expensive one ($1100 a month for a 1 bedroom, 1 bath) was a great deal and i was cheap for not taking it... i was thinking "are you retarded" and said I'll keep lookin...
is there any hope!? anyone? I'm hoping my luck will change soon...
anyone else got anything?

I've only delt with one and it was a good experience. I will go back to her when I sell my house.

They don't sell that many, and alot of that goes to the broker they work for. They don't get all that money like you think they do.
repps on beating down that guy.
