Quick, Fast "healthy" Meals, did i mention quick???
Quick, Fast "healthy" Meals, did i mention quick???
Hey everyone, I wanted to make a quick little thread just sharing what we all eat (that’s healthy) for people who don’t want to, or like to spend hours in the kitchen making healthy meals for the week.
Post things you can get in the store and rip right into =) im not talking about foods that are easy to make, but items that are ready to go right from the local grocers! hopefully this will help everyone out with their diets making it nice simple and easy!!! List your favorites
I’ll go first
-Instant Quaker Oats
-Fat Free Yogurt
-a multivitamin
-MRPs
Note: Try to keep it short and “sweet” =)

Salad, fruits, veggies (cooked or not), peanut butter (add it to oats or put it on celery or on an apple maybe), tuna, boiled eggs, etc.

Low salt turkey and ham
Low fat cheese
Multigrain tortillas
Multigrain bread
Baby spinach
Make yourself wraps and sandwiches, or is that considered cooking to you?

geez you consider a multivitamin a meal?
i think the quickest healthiest thing that tastes good are eggs. so many different quick and easy ways you can prepare them, and they taste great. the rest, oats, tuna, the other stuff already mentioned. (i just noticed you said stuff that you can just buy from the store and eat, sorry.)

- Mix your Steel Cut oats with the water you will be cooking them in before you go to bed. Takes like 3-5 minutes to cook them up in the morning.
- Celery (Pre-Cut!)
- Pickle Spears
- Nuts

I love to cook, but when im out fishing, or in the woods and forget to pack a meal ill grab a bag of Low Fat Roasted Soy Crisps or Roasted Soy nuts real quick to bring with me. Now i know alot of ppl will bash soy but hey, it provides Good Carbs/Proteins/Healthy fats and fiber all at once and ide rather eat something then miss 3 meals specially when im out working hard.
