Review: Promax OAT-Rageous protein bar!! (Chocolate Coconut)

Promax Oat-rageous

Flavor: Chocolate Coconut

Product Direct Link:
http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/promax/oat.html

Nutrient breakdown:

Serving Size: 1 Bar
Servings Per Container: 12

Amount Per Serving:

Calories 330
Calories from Fat 45
Total Fat 11 g
Saturated Fat 4.5 g
Trans Fat 0 g
Cholesterol 0 mg
Sodium 150 mg
Potassium 140 mg
Total Carbohydrate 39 g
Dietary Fiber 6 g
Sugars 18 g
Protein 20 g

Ingredients:

Ingredients:
Protein Blend ( Isolated Soy protein, Whey Protein isolate) Rolled oats, brown syrup, toasted coconut, Chocolate Chips, high fructose corn syrup, peanut butter, glycerine, apple juice concentrate, maltodextrin, canola oil, almonds, alkalized cocoa powder, natural and artificial flavor, water, salt, sucralose.

Intro: i got this as a sample from another bulky nutritional site with my order(sorry bb.com, needed something you don't offer). full size bar. bb.com has a much better price on these than that site though.

Taste:10/10 - i love coconut, love chocolate, this thing tastes like one of the homemade recipes i've tried in the past. a mix of quality ingredients and sugar(along with other not so quality ingredients ) make for a DELICIOUS protein bar. this thing rocks!

Texture: 9/10 this will be quite subjective, not to mention some just won't care. it is easily melted during shipping, but doesn't stick to the wrapper, so no big deal. it has the texture of a homemade bar if you've made them before with oats, PB, protein powder, milk, etc.

Price: 8/10 $14-15/12 bars - for what they're offering in all aspects, this is priced right.(at least here on bb.com)

Overall Rating: 9/10 self explanatory, that's the average of the 3.

bottom line: unbelieveable taste and i'm SO impressed with the bar. i've tried quite a few in my past, among the many Pro 42, clif bar, etc. and i willingly resign from my fake clif bar rep position to blatently pimp this bar for free.

if you've got money to burn on your next order and are bulking(preferably an ecto) grab a pack of these in either chocolate chip, PB, PB/choc chip, chocolate coconut(not yet available at bb.com). GREAT STUFF!!

yeah, ive tried the other flavors in peanut butter and peanut butter chocolate chip. they were my bars i ate moments before stepping onstage at my last competition. they tasted so good but thats mostly because i was low carbing eating plain, flavorless food for 12 weeks. i just wish they had more clean carbs like the oats and less corn syrup and malto. a better protein source besides soy would be nice too. oh well, ill be enjoying this bar next time i cant get to a prepared meal

i agree with you on the bold. although i've seen too many bars that ONLY have the bad crap in em. weak...at least this bar has good with the bad....

i will respectfully disagree with you on the soy though, i think it's a great addition to the whey protein isolate. this bar gave me NO indigestion. this too impresses me.

i'd also like to add this is the only bar that i have eaten where i don't get half way through and start to get tired of it.....like Pro 42. my pace only got faster the more i tasted the coconut.
