Unhappy ulcers-what do i eat??

hi everybody,
well, everything was going great with my diet until friday, i started having some abdominal pain, ended up getting worse all day until i had to go to the emergency room, turns out i have an ulcer (again) and the doc says I cant eat anything spicy, fatty, acidic as this will aggravate it. he's right too, ate some carne asada last night and my stomach is killing me, plus i'm out of vicoden now .

so, for those of you out there with ulcers or chrones, or any other G.I. problems, how do you eat?

im assuming I have to stop carb cycling, as this requires me to eat alot of meat and fat on some days to compensate for the calories lost from cutting carbs.

seems like everything i eat makes me sick, so im at a loss..

Start drinking licorice root tea. That will help. I hear that cayenne pepper will actually help, despite being counter intutitive. Ginger can help as well. Add garlic and onions to your food.

As for digestive disorders, you want to move away from the carb cycling. That is pretty difficult on the PH of the stomach given the excess protein that you have to consume on certain days. The fats aren't as big of a problem but you want to ensure that you get a minimum of 10g per meal just to ensure that the gallblatter empties...You might want to add more fruit and veggies they will help. unless you have problems with gas with them which indicates that you don't have enough good bacteria in your intestines.

Things that you should avoid because they are difficult to digest: Wheat and soy.

I would think about some digestive enyzmes if I were you.

Define sick.. as well

yeah, my thoughts were the same about carb cycling but i didnt know about protein and the PH in the stomach. by sick, i mean sharp abdominal pain at about 3 minute intervals, whether or not i eat. also pretty strong nausea following eating. no longer any vomiting (at least, not yet).
i eat lots of fruits and veggies-probably 6+ servings a day, eating more wont be a problem, fruit seems to be one of the only things i can stomach.

what kind of digestive enzymes? im all ears, im kinda concerned b/c this is the 3rd time in 2 years i have gotten an ulcer, also my dad has crones and we are of jewish ancestry which i know puts me at a larger risk for crones...

all i know is i cant eat or work out and im hating life!
