i take mine as follows
m/w/f - first thing in morning, mid afternoon post workout
tu/th - post workout in AM, mid afternoon
weekends I use a GNC multi just because..
and zma will not make you tired, it will just increase the depth/quality of your sleep and possibly give you interesting dreams.
