Muscle Milk Mocha Joe (flavor review)

This is my first review, but I have chosen to do my reviews based around a twenty five point scale, which will take into account taste, in water and in milk, mixability, texture, and price.

Taste

With water:
Personally, I myself am not a big fan of mixing protein with water, however, in order to do a fair reveiw, I gave it a try. Honestly, this flavor in water is probably one of the better flavors I have tasted when mixed with water. It doesn't taste watered down, yet, it isn't overly thick. Very nice, smooth, texture. Overall, it was very..."nice".

With milk:
The taste with milk is nothing short of amazing. I mixed two scoops with two scoops of skim milk, ice, and blended it. It tasted like your typical coffee drink from Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks. The flavor here provides a nice escape for those of us who love those highly sugared coffee drinks, but cannot have them. However, at times, it tasted a little, vague, as if the flavor wasn't distributed evenly throughout. But, overall, this certainly will satisfy your cravings.

Mixability

When mixed in a shaker, some clumps may surface and are often found throughout the drink. There isn't too many, and they can probably be dissipated with a little added shaking than you would usually do. However, due to the great flavor of the powder, you may want to taste some of those "clumps".

Texture

This may seem odd to some of you, but I decided to add it as a category, because I find sometimes when I buy protein, the shakes are too grainy or are too watered down. However, Mocha Joe hits it spot on. It is smooth, but not watery, and it is thick, but not grainy. This product definately is one of the best when it comes to texture.

Price

The price isn't too good, as it is quite pricey for the amount of servings you get. However, it offers a nice break from your normal protein drinks and it is certainly one of the best tasting miscellar casein products on the market right now. If you can afford it, it is a very nice treat.

It is a great protein product, but it needs help in mixability and could use a slight drop in price. However, other than that, there are very few problems and Mocha Joe is a great product for anyone, coffee lover or not.

This is not a bad flavor although I think out of the two coffees that I have tried I like the Nectar cappuccino better.

What did you like better about the Nectar? I wish I could find a protein product that I could drink in the morning to replace that habitual cup of coffee.

This way is much cheaper.....
2 scoops ON whey vanilla or chocolate choco gives you a mocha type shake
1/2 shaker Cup of whatever coffee you like
1/2shaker cup of skim milk
shake
enjoy

or if you dont have time to make cofee just put in some instant coffee granules in your shake

Good review, everything you said seems to be on par with my MM experiences as well. Flavor wise you can't go wrong with mocha joe in milk, or any protein shake at that, milk is the way to go. The only downfall is the price and fat content but if your not concerned with either then mocha joe is a great choice.

Add the fact that Mocha Joe has *caffeine* in it. That's a huge factor when I buy my Muscle Milks. Always gotta have an open container of MJ for my leg days - I need a little more energy

mocha joe...banana creme..chocolate....cookies and creme....all good...just bought strawberry banana...hope its good....didn't like rootbeer to much though...it was weak in flavor
