how can I tell when its too much or not enough??

how can I tell when its too much or not enough??

a number of month's ago I started working-out in a gym at first I made my self my own routine and it worked pretty well for a while it consisted with 4 diffrent exercise per body part for each exercise I did 3-5 sets x 6-10 reps that was for a bout 3-4 month's and then I moved to a new gym..wich there the gym instructor had build me a routine that was consisted with 2 exercise per body part with a variety of sets and reps (changes from week to week)...when I started my new routine it felt like I wasnt doing enough but now well into the program..(6 weeks)..it shows results .....but Im still not to sure about it....
so what do you think...should I change the routine??...is it enough??...what is enough??...

You said it shows results, then I would stick with it untill the results show down, milk it for all it's worth, and "EAT".
