dam almonds taste like crap, cashews alright alternative?
i just bought a 15 dollar bag of almonds from costco and it's my first time putting them into my diet, they're raw with nothing added and god dam it taste like ****, it takes me forever to chew them cause i don't wanna throw it up, it's like the first time you start taking protein shakes and you try not to throw it up. do you guys think cashews would be a good alternative? they taste way better with good fats also. after i'm done with this bag of ****, should i just get cashews next time or try almonds with some salt or something added to it? i'm bulking btw so i think cashews should be alright

Almonds aren't meant to taste **** by anyone's standards but sometimes you can get bad almonds that taste a bit bitter and they really do induce nausea. Try getting almonds from somewhere else and mix them up with walnuts and cashews. That'll give you a bit of a mix and help you get used to eating almonds. Over time, if you want, you can cut out the ammount of other nuts and eventually you'll just be eating almonds alone.

damn, that must suck, I LOVE ALMONDS... you can get roasted almonds, those taste better than raw... although raw is better for you. Cashews are fine, basically all nuts are fine. I'd look into walnuts like others said though, im pretty sure they have a pretty good nutritional profile, and contain the highly regarded omega 3 fatty acids.

Yeah, cashews or wallnuts or any nut or seed would be fine too. Just get a mixed bag if you can.
Them being raw is probably the reason for the taste. Try adding salt or just blend them and mix them with a protein shake or something.

Cashews are delicious and are ok, IMO. Get the lightly salted ones though.
