News on the outcome of Rey/Randy match at NWO, SPOILERS.
Credit to PWINSIDER
"X1 sent word that WWE is advertising a Kurt Angle vs. Randy Orton vs. Mark Henry WWE Title match, with Steve Williams as the special ref, for the 3/12 house show in Lafayette, LA. Rey Mysterio will take on JBL in a best 2 out of 3 falls match. That would make it appear that WWE is going to go forward with having Orton beat Rey for the Mania main event this Sunday, which has been rumored around the company."
I like this news a lot.

Not really..... I mean, Rey had his time to shine at the second biggest PPV of the year(IMO) and won a match dedicated to the late, great, Eddie.

Yeah but the Rumble winner gets title shot at WM....thats the whole point of it. This just means in future years they're gonna come up with all kinds of f*cked up storylines between RR and WM (not good)

But who really thought Rey would main event WM?? I know for a fact I been saying for a while now he doesn't belong there and Vince obviously feels the same way.
Him winning the RR was just a time for him to shine on a big stage in a match dedicated to Eddie..... he did exactly that and now will go back to the mid card.

And I can't stand Orton anyway. I'm one of the few who have honestly never seen any real talent with him. I don't even care about his comments about Eddie; he just bores the hell out of me and I don't really think he has improved much at all.

well that blows. mark henry shouldnt be placed anywhere near a wrestlemania card...WWE could have done so much with this match...
Kurt Angle vs Rey Mysterio not only sounds better, but is also going to be a MUCH better match.

This was a house show people, not the main event at WM..... I doubt Henry will be part of it.... hopefully I'm right.

WWE is determined to have Orton crash and burn as a main eventer again.
Ah well. Rey Mysterio is the top rated star on Smackdown, you'd think they'd put more into that by giving him the main program around WM.
But logic has been long gone for a while now in the WWE.

Like I've said before, Mark Henry shouldn't be allowed anywhere within 100 feet of the arena.
Angle/Mysterio in the main event would be one of the greatest matches I would ever see.

This confirms nothing, only that Angle vs. Orton vs. Henry is supposed to happen at a 3/12 house card... WM is 4/2
Seriously why is it confirmed that Orton is going to win by this? I don't get it, you'd suppose it would more confirm that Angle is to beat UT at NWO and not that Orton is going to win, he probably will, but seriously explain to me how this confirms anything considering Rey vs. Randy.

But Orton/Angle have no chemistry, it's a cool match but not for Wrestlemania.
Plus Orton's already been champ, him winning is no fun.
Then HHH is expected to win too right? Two heels winning? Two heels that have already been champ?
THis WM is going to suck
But of course we've got the awesome Henry/Undertaker match!

In all honesty, who does Orton have chemistry with? HHH had to carry him, benoit has to cover his botched moves, Orton is overrated. Wrestlemainia is fast becoming just another halfassed pay per view.

I agree....you can just have the attitude 'well I didnt win the rumble, but I still have a few weeks to get the shot!'. The whole point of it is that it is an iron clad, guarenteed wm main event spot.
I wish Vince's predjudices could be put aside for Rey. Orton was one of the worst title reigns I can remember. He flopped, and he still hasn't shown he can deal with it. I have seen NO championship potential in him whatsoever. Upper-mid card villain, at best.
This wrestlemania has the weakest card of any wrestlemania I can remember . A totally abysmal card. The only thing I am interested in is seeing Bret in the HOF, and even that isn't a lock at the moment (in respect to him appearing on the card).

As much as I'd like to see Rey headline the big one, and as much as I dislike Orton, I hope Orton DOES beat Rey for that WM spot. I am so sick of this "win the rumble, go to WM to challenge for the belt" crap. It was predictable the first year they tried it, it's even worse now. I miss the good old days when the rumble wasn't meant to start a storyline for mania, but was their to help push certain talent and it truely seemed like allmost anyone could win it. Well, maybe not ANYONE, I remember hearing Vince back in his announcers days say "Virgil has a very good chance of winning the rumble this year!"....... sure he does Vince, sure he does.

Exactly man. I totally agree with you! To me Orton is one of the most boring wrestlers ever. I do not understand how he is "entertaining" and his promos totally suck. He can't act for **** and his wrestling skills suck. Why does he keep getting pushes for no reason? Rey vs. Angle would be an amazing match.
