Sauna
Hey guys. Well, a cold has finally caught up to me, my throat and head is killing me. Going to have to take the day off. Got some drugs in me now, so I'm starting to feel a little better. It was hitting me a bit yesterday but i worked out anyways but today I am in full-blown sick mode, lol. I was just wondering, do you think hitting the sauna would be beneficial? Could I maybe sweat it out a bit? Or would it be better just to keep well hydrated? Either way I will be taking in lots of water, just thought the sauna for a little bit might do me some good. Any thoughts?

Sauna helps for recovery and it really depends on you I don't train and go into the sauna right after usually on days I dont lift I go in there for 10-20 minutes and I feel really good myself... also haven't been sick since June 2005 so everything seems to work out well.

in my opinion i would say just keep the liquids comin.
The sauna just might dehydrate you and make you feel worse.
This is just my opinion, anyone else agree?

As long as your not dehydrated your not catabolic so just keep water levels good shouldn't need to spend alot of time in there... I have seen people stay in there for about an hour...

3 words...sweat it out, i had a pretty bad cold about 2 weeks ago(didnt skip workouts like an idiot) and i went running(indoors) with a couple layers of clothes on and just sweat it out. My Unc told me this works last year when i was real sick durin baseball conditioning, but i sweat it out when i went to sleep, thats the easiest if u can sleep like that. Now i'm at about 80% when i was arouind 50%
