question about weightgainers

I've been working out for a almost a year now and found some amazing gains, I've seen amazing gains in every muscle, for example, my benching increased by over 130 lbs. and my body weight increased by 30 pounds, while maintaining 9% bodyfat...

I've been taking mass tech for a year now and found that it works AMAZINGLY.... I gained a quick 10 pounds in the first two months, but lately I found that it's ALOT harder than it used to be...

In the past, I would take half the serving size of mass tech as my first meal of the day, and before sleep. Now, I take the full serving size of mass tech which is 2x the amount I took before... I take it after working out, and as a snack after a meal... this is an 1100 calorie shake b/c I add a few things into it... but it's so hard for me to get any gains from it now days... I've been stuck on my weight for so long and I find that it's not working nearly as much as it used to...

I was wondering is this was because my body might be getting used to the mass tech and I should switch to another weight gainer? (if so, then what do you recommend I take?) or is my body getting used to the high calorie intake and not storing any weight off it? thx for the input...

My thoughts:

No, you don't need to switch gainers...your body does not get "used" to weight gainers persay. Rather, what is more likely is you have been working about a year...you have experienced your phenomenal "newbie" gains, and now they have tapered off...

also, you have gained a lot of lean mass...which means your metabolism has increased greatly, but you are still eating the same calorie number. Recalculate your maintenance calories now, then add 500...then slowly add more until you start gaining again...

I had the same problem with weight gainer. Instead of doubleing size of the shake just add more of them. I drink three 700 calorie shakes and four meals. A 1000 plus calorie meal will mostly just come out the other end if you know what I mean.
