OT - Are you hardgainers 'sure' your eating enough??? im now a skeptic :D

Long story short, im working in a mine site for a few weeks, living in a mining town.......Only reacreation thing to do is lift.....

However, the kicker is my company has this awesome 'everything paid for all you can eat' food establishment thing in the town where you do all your eating........im in heaven........

Yesterday, my diet consisted of

Breaky: (theres cooked food, but its quite greasy, as much as you can eat too)
3/4 of a litre of milk + 3 smallish bowls of wheat (Good) cereal

Lunch (did i mention all you can take?)
(spread this over 8 hours, i eat whenever i want, usually every 2 hours, over this period i eat..)
4 bread rolls packed full of beef, or ham, or chicken or whatever and as much salad **** as you want
About 10-20 savoury biscuits with peanut butter on em
4 pieces of fruit
Some milk

I goto gym......

Then theres dinner......
After last gym session i had:
2 good fish fillets, 2 mediumish steaks, one chicken breast and alot of potatoes

I took home a plate of meat and ate it before bed......

Im ****ing blowing up, i have so much energy for the gym its not funny, its like im on dam steriods seriously. Yes, i am prolly going to gain some fat (but not necessary, if i was the anal type, i dont HAVE to eat this food), but ive never had access to food like this before, its amazing, its absolutely amazing. IF what im eating dont sound like much, hell, its all you can eat, you could eat more. People have to live here for years so the food is quite good. Im gaining muscle and weight.....

Thus, the people who say they cant gain weight, are YOU eating this much? Hell, i dont eat more cause i dont need to, but i eassssily could. So could you eat 30% more then this?

Ive been one of the types who says i find it hard to gainweight, bull****. It may be hard to afford/gain access to/eat the amount of food, but its nothing to do with the mechanics of your body (vast majority of the time). ITs just you dont put enough in.

Soz if this sounds like a lecture, but ive never experienced anything like this

(p.s - im not asking for opinions on my diet, so no need to give em to me)

yup, food is the best. Did you ever wonder why when asked on the supplements board what supplements are best people always answer with food?

Its amazing how much food has to do with muscle growth. Sadly, many people never realize this.

dude, even my 3 year old daughter knows this.

last night she was poking my chest and said "that's hard"

then she said, "What's in there?.... a bunch of food?"

I told her, "Well, yeah, that's pretty much what it is!"

I'm a firm believer that 98% of self proclaimed hardgainers are just undereaters.

The other 2% are actual hardgainers who would be more succesful in running marathons, but can still add a good bit of muscle if they really wanted to.

Same here. When I first started I was a hard gainer. Of course I was probably eating 50 grams of protein a day.
