Trips Comments on Rey Mysterio at Royal Rumble
Credit: Miami Herald
At yesterday’s Royal Rumble press conference in Miami, Fl. Triple H made a statement towards Rey Mysterio dedicating winning the Royal Rumble match to Eddie Guerrero. Triple H said the following:
"With respect to Rey Mysterio, I've actually never heard somebody dedicate a loss to somebody. If you think that you're going to the Royal Rumble and that you're going to win, I've got news for you. I don't care if Eddie Guerrero reaches down out of the sky and helps you himself -- it's not going to happen."

Man can he give a promo!

Wow, that was harsh. Sounds like a bit of a shoot to me. Who knows.
Either way Rey Rey seems to be packing some pudge. Maybe those two can team up and hit the elliptical together or something.

Makes me think Rey and HHH will be the last 2, and Rey eliminates HHH for the win. That would be good IMO

What ever happened to Rey, I mean that guy used to be in the cruiser weight division why is'nt he there anymore. I liked Rey when he were battling for the WWE Crusier Weight Championship.

He is too good for the Cruiserweight division but aint that good for the main event division. So he is stuck somewhere in between.

thing is, he's still so over with the fans after all these years and his merchandise sells! he's also one of the top wrestlers in the world today and has been for years now. This makes him a legit main eventer and we have salivated in the past whenever we heard he and ANgle or He and eddie would fight. no carrying in any of those matches. I would love to see Rey Main event or co main event at WM.

True. Though I enjoy Rey vs. Angle more than Rey vs. Eddie. Their over the top battle royale a year ago was pure gold!

Yeah definite agree, I loved that match. Very quick and exciting none of that boring slow match.
Kurt =Technique VS Rey= Speed.

Now that's a heel. Not harsh in any sense.
I hope Rey does end up eliminating HHH because that would just kick all kinds of ass.

I'm just so glad this thread isn't full of comments about how insensitive and disrespectful HHH is.

HHH cut a good promo. Point blank. He was in character. He is definately not making light of EG. He is building up heat, which he is arguably the best there is at.

Yeah, I found it quite the opposite. Good promo from HHH. IMO he has been steeping up his efforts in recent weeks. The promo he cut on Raw about returning to be the "king of kings" I thought was excellent.
I am actually enjoying the majoirty of HHH's promo's recently.

True, and I also would like to think they wouldn't go there unless they plan to have Rey win, or at least have it down to Rey vs. HHH

Exactly.
How is this any different from the Orton/Taker lowrider incident, or Big Show spitting on the lowrider, etc. Where are all those people who complained back then?

Mysterio should not main even Wrestlemania. They should put him in the US title picture, not the world title.

Because the lowrider metaphorically represented Eddie and to have him burn or be spit on is disrespectful. Nothing was done to him or anything representative of him this time, so why should anybody complain about that?

HHH has been money w/ his promos lately, but I think he's been using that King of kings stuff a bit too much. He's included it in almost every promo he's had in the past 2 weeks.

I didn't think it was disrespectful....Im beginning to warm to HHH now he has been out of the title picture for quite a while, which is why I hope he isn't thrust straight back into it.

Now y'all got me thinking. El Gilbro says he thinks Rey will eliminate HHH. Now I totally feel that there is no way in hell Rey is going to win. (Imagine Rey wins the Rumble, wins at Wrestlemania and is new champ......faces a returning Batista at say Summerslam. Rey = dead.)
But I do see at some point in the Rumble Rey causing HHH to be eliminated and setting them up to feud. (Would be a great feud too, as long as the sledgehammer stays out of it!)

HHH needs to sledgehammer to destroy Rey! One spinebuster, Rey = dead.
