People Who Obssess Over Every Penny

I have this friend that is really starting to ****ing piss me off badly. This kid has never worked a real job in his life, he has a rich family that just gives him whatever he wants. He lives in a huge house, drives a beamer that his parents paid for, and furthermore- he has a black card like the one from the "oh i think they like me video," with tons of cash in the bank for him to spend on whatever he pleases.

Me on the other hand...

Both of my parents are teachers in NYC (my dad is retired), and I have three other siblings who are all younger than me so there is not a lot of money to go around. I live in a ****ing ****hole. I used to get minimal money from my parents before I was able to work, but since I have been 16/17 I have made my own money and supported my needs/wants (except State University).

Now I am very generous with my money, not stupid, but generous amongst friends. If somebody needs a little money spotted to them I will, providing that I trust them and that they would do the same for me. My friend on the other hands is so ****ing cheap and I think mentally insane that it's honestly disgusting.

He will never drive his car because of gas even though he has a GAS CARD paid for by mommy and daddy. This kid will try and scheme for anything- even as minimal as a dollar. He is so stingy with leaving tips and he will review the bill like 20x before putting money in. A good example of his behavior- He ordered three items costing 1- $5.50, 2- $8.75, and 3- $2.25. With me and I should assume most decent people, I round up the change amounts always. In his mind he rounds them to $5, $9, and $2. My bank is like two minutes from where he lives and when I picked him up the other day we both needed money. He tells me I should drive to his bank which is like 10 minutes away because he wants to save the $1.50 ATM fee! I don't ask him to go to mine on the rare occasion that he may drive. It doesn't make a difference because it is not his money and his parents don't give a ****.

I know it's not a lot but this kid does it for everything involving money. I also know that he has stolen stuff from people and probably from me too. He is a pathological liar. I personally think he has mental problems. He is like a crazy old lady counting pennies even though he has a basically unlimited amount of money (for what he would spend it on).

Anybody else know somebody like this?

Yes, he is but I really don't like the ****ing fact that you asked that because my dad is Jewish and even though he doesn't have a lot of money he is anything but cheap. Just by asking that you are implying that he is cheap because he is Jewish- and that is pretty ignorant

(Don't get offended, I have Jewish friends, but sometimes they need to stop being so god damn cheap. Persians too for that matter.)

I'm not trying to be rude or something, I have lots of Jewish friends myself, but one thing I notice is that they tend to be more protective of their money, ie. when we're at the restaurant for dinner or something they always seem to "convieniently" have gone to the bathroom when it comes time to sort out the bill, or they refuse to answer the door when the pizza arrives at one of our houses. I'm sorry if I offended you, I am just going on what I thought was a simple fact, not a touchy topic.

AceVentura- It's not a simple fact. That's like saying that all black people are murderers. It's simply not true. I also know a lot of Jewish people who are anything but cheap.

Anyway, don't turn this into a racist thread, that's not what I intended.
