Do any of you have any reptiles as pets? What kind? Post pics.
I'm facinated with spiders, I've never bought one from a store, but I've raised two that I found in my house.
The first one was about 3 yrs ago. You can tell by the pic that its about the size of the head of a screw. I raised it since it was tiny, about 1/4 the size that it was in that pic. I fed him ants and fruit flies for about 8 months. He would hide behind that grey latch above him. One day I came to feed him and he didn't come out
The second spider was big, about 6 times the size of the first one. He decided to make his home an old air conditioner we have. I have to admit I wanted to grab it so I can raise it in my room in an old unused aquarium I had, but I was afraid it would bite me. It was vicious when it fed, it would over power those large black ants and fang strike them. It would then tear them apart and drag it back into its lair. Later on you could find the unwanted limbs of its victims on its web. Interesting animals to watch, I would spend lots of time just watching them wait patiently for their next meal to land on their web.
