MS-13 Gang... anyone know about them?

This is about a machete attack they did on another gang member... They do the craziest stuff in North VA. They are a sick group of people. This article is kind of old but you get the point.

Yeah, I'm aware of them, they are pretty active in southern Montgomery County, as well as Prince Georges. In fact, I was the victim of an attempted carjacking a while back, and I wouldn't doubt it was them. They didn't get my ride

These ****ers need to be put down like an old dog tho, you'd think a powerful city like DC Metro could do something more about this bull****, for sure.

Nothing complex, the "bump and rob" is a typical carjacking tactic, I knew it because as you know, I make a habit of knowing lots of things I'm not required to know, so some jackass tries this on me at around 5-10mph at 3am in a bad neighborhood one the east side of DC metro (I won't say where). Anyway, the idea behind bump and rob is that running into someone's car causes a social obligation to resolve an "accident." Most people do not do the proper safe thing in an accident and remain in a car with the window cracked to exchange insurance information (after calling police on a cell phone) but rather they get out of the car to talk to (and sometimes beat up) the person who hit them. Well this is the opportunity a carjacker wants, because then he is going to stick a gun in your face, perhaps kill you if he is the type and/or is in the mood, and then take your car back to his garage where it is going to be sold off as part of an organized crime ring.

So this guy causes an "accident" with me on a deserted road, at a stoplight, only after sitting behind me for about a minute (casing.) I knew what was up, so I floored it. He gave chase, and a high speed chase ensued (the nerve, chasing me to try and steal my car? I am very much pro death penalty as a side note.) So he pulls up to me, and there is this loud ass mariachi music or some **** (apologies latinos but I don't follow it or listen to it, no idea what the subgenres are) blasting out of the car, the windows are down, and there is this small latino guy shouting at me in spanish, well, I've had enough, so I drop gear and peel off onto an exit and lose him (he is unwilling to leave his neighborhood.)

Thing is, I was twice this guy's size, and he chased me down for something he caused. This was certainly an attempted carjacking and/or robbery. Someone less self-protective and more macho would have confronted him, and they probably would have gotten shot. There was no way this guy could physically beat my ass, so something was definitely up. Also, the area I was in has the highest incidence of carjacking and auto theft in my county, and my neighboring county, which is essentially where I was, (and which is where I work) has some of the highest violent crime rates in America. My car still has the damage FWIW. The crazy part is, I don't carry a gun. Maybe I should. But I have a fast car and fast feet, so it doesn't bother me much, flight is always a better option than a shootout.

Good story... if I were you I would buy a gun and get a concealed carry permit (oh wait, you are in DC so the local liberal govt wont permit that -only the criminals are allowed to carry guns

There's more going on than what you see in the papers or in the news. These guys kill anyone and anything that get in their way. There is STRONG evidence that they are allied with Al Qaeda. They have HUGE weapon caches in the Texas/Mexico border towns. People are dying every day trying to stop these guys.
