I'd be interested to read people's thoughts on this hypothetical scenario:
A 20-25 year old male has been working out for several years. He is currently in a mass gaining phase and wants to keep his gains relatively clean. The majority of his diet consists of what would be considered dirty foods - kfc, hungry jacks, bacon etc in average size meals every few hours. He lifts consistently and heavily several times/week and is getting stronger.
He weighs himself on an empty stomach first thing in the morning every Monday and each week he has gained 0.5 - 1kg (1 - 2lb). Now considering that this is a good rate of growth to aim for (this is another point for discussion), would his gains be as "clean" as someone who was on a clean diet who was gaining the *exact* same amount of weight each week, and lifting the exact same weights? Would he be putting on the same ratio of muscle:fat as the other person?
Btw I'm not describing myself here

it's just something I thought of and would like to know people's opinions.
Discuss.
