Flowers!!!

Sup guys (AND especially Girls!),

I need some help finding a really cool, exotic flower that will show my date I mean businness...

We're going out on a first date together this weekend but we already know each other, we partied together, etc.. I now need to make sure she fully understands my intentions, so I asked her out for a cool romantic date, and want to surprise her with beautiful flowers. Something that tells her "I like you" ... in a very very strong way. I don't think red roses are appropriate though, besides, I want something unique!

Also, no bouquets, I want to give her one single, beautiful flower. I was thinking about Stargazer Lily or Calla Lily (3-5 of these). Also, Orchids, I know girls love em, but what kind is big and voluptous and exotic?

Help me out here please!

dont buy flowers are you kidding me? unless your a good looking guy, i highly suggest you dont buy flowers or anything on the first date...
first of all your obviously not experienced in the dating scene, so she MOST LIKELY wont give two ****s if the flower is a 500 dollar one or if its a rose you picked out of her own garden..
just be confident and charming and shes all yours... but if your hell bent on buying a flower for this chick just go for roses... i highly doubt any guy ever gave her a flower.

you shouldnt need a flower to say to her your true intentions either, its all in your body language and what you say... infact, flowers are a terrible way to do this... what flowers are good for is once you establish the fact that you two are seeing eachother, they are an AMAZING way to make girls feel loved.. only after you have been in a relationship already however.

I don't HAVE to buy her a flower, I just thought usually guys nowadays rarely buy girls flowers, so that would probably be very charming. Plus, an exotic flower would show her I put time into it. I don't want her to think I spent a lot of money on it, that's why I wanted to get her only one flower ...

Anyway. You guessed right, I don't have much experience dating. I'm pretty shy with girls, and although I've been working on it very very hard (with great improvement, IMO), my body language and posture still shows my shyness ... And I'm working on it. But this girl is very important to me, and I don't wanna mess it up.

I guess taking her out to dinner isn't such a great idea, either, right? ... (I wouldn't offer to pay though!).

It looks like you have a negative way of thinking towards dating. Maybe you should just stay away from women all together and simply hang out with your hand?

Seriously though - You're 20. I'd understand having the girl pay if you were like 16-18 or so. At this age it would simply make you look cheap, and not like a gentleman. Ofcourse if you're looking to simply get laid - may I suggest a hooker?

If you are taking her out on a "romantic" date you better damn well pay for dinner and not say a word about it. You won't get very far if you don't!

And you may want to appear original by buying her exotic flowers, but unless she is REALLY into plants/flowers I would stick with the roses. I can just hear the conversation to her best friend after you date "Yeah, and he bought me these really strange looking flowers and they STANK!". Just stick with roses. The pale yellow ones with pink tips are nice......

Your trying to make it seem like you put a lot of thought in the flower. From everything we know, this is counterproductive. I couldnt of put it better myself than what hailfire said. Flowers dont get you in the door. They keep you in the house. Paying for dinner is fine if it is a casual place. I always pay for dinner but it is far from a financial burden. Flowers will make you seem too interested and may throw up some barriers. Give it some time. I hang out with a lot of girls and its funny when they get flowers either given to them or send after a first date. They all seem to think, "awwwwwwwww.............how creepy."

if you really want to get her somethin get her a ****in teddy bear with some sorta nice saying (romantic whatever) in a card the bear is holding. But like a lot of people said getting her flowers or bear, chocolate, etc will not make her instantly fall in love with you just be you and if she doesnt like you then oh well her problem. Ok. I DO NOT just wanna get laid. Believe me, getting laid is the last thing on my mind right now, I just got off a 3 week Sdrol cycle and I'm doing some hardcore PCT. Besides, I have a couple of FBs that I could "hang out" with if in need.

I really like this girl and I've been without gf long enough. We share a lot of the same interests, we've been working out together in the gym a couple of times, and I think she likes me, too.

I also am not cheap, I would pay for anything for her ... I'm just concerned about the paying & dinner thing because, after reading A LOT of the fastseduction stuff, I realize it's very AFC, and could possibly make me look desperate depending on the situation.

I think I got the looks, I definitely got a good clothing style and she confirmed it SEVERAL times telling me how good this and that looked on me... AND I have the body. She told me several times already that she's impressed, and she keeps touching my arms cause "theyre soooo hard" ...

Anyway. I got a night of studying ahead, so I will have time to think about what I'm gonna do ... I was thinking about inviting her to dinner at my place. I love cooking and I'm pretty good a it, I could make a real special evening. Might be a little too intimate though ...

dont be that guy Bernardo...Mr. romantic gentlemen douchebag... all this does is put pressure on the situation. During the course of my life i have developed a "game" i call it moral superiority and it works in most fasites of life. Pretty much the goal is to try and not get "negative points"...


Like for example say you go out on a date (fields are even) and you show up with flowers (-1 you) you go and have a pleasent dinner good conversation, you give her a compliment she has heard a million times (another -1 you) at the end of the date she is going to weigh your negs against the date. if the point spread comes up in your favor you get a second date (depending on how the girl rates herself the point spread varies... take fatties for instance you can practically pull yuor dick out at dinner and still have a good chance at going on a second date). Though the system is thrown off if when you first made the date "she was being nice" but in that case its doomed from the begining and atleast you wont get hit by a metaphoric truck of "wow im a dumb **** for saying/doing that"

this works for alot of things... pick ups for example, play it cool and act like your just talking to them because they are there and you are there...if your not feelingit (or more importantly you can tell shes not) dont ask for a number. If you act like a jack ass and tell her how pretty her eyes are then ask for her number and get regected then you lose and your going to feel humiliated (or atleast you should... complement something original).


Also your only 20 dont try and take this chick out for dinner, ITS WAY TO FORMAL. everything should be spontanious, ask her if she wants to hang out go see a movie go play minitature golf etc etc then say after "hey im kind of hungry want to get something to eat" AFTER you have already had a good time... the way i like to look at it is this, the first date is "pre dateing" you guys are "friends" at best so treat her that way, i mean by all means flirt show interest etc but at a core treat her like you would a friend till you feel her out and start getting an idea of how she feels about you. Trust me it will save you from the humiliation that results in an urge to hit yourself in the dick with a hammer

Also. I changed my plans with her ... asked her to join me on a relaxed beachrun tomorrow at sunset. She's all into fitness and running, and she'll like it. On the way back from the beach we'll stop by a cafe, grab a bite and talk. And THERE I will ask her out to dinner for the next day. Awesome!

I didn't realize it was a first date, either.

Don't give her anything on the first date - how do you know she's not a total skeezer? I'd get a good read on her first because looks can be deceiving. Do the flower once you get a read and can sense how she'd react...that is when it will be most affective.

First dates should be fun, casual, and light hearted if you ask me. You don't want to be overly romantic and kill all the guessing for her. I like to guess, and yes it's a game but if I know someone likes me and it's very aparent on the first date before they even know my interests, insights and my birthdate- I buckle and run. Do you kids have mutual friends or couples that you could go out with? I know that sounds lame but it makes for a much better first date if you ask me....

Well I like to eat. And what better time to have a cheat meal than on a date. So definitely eat. I wouldn't go overboard with something to upscale and fancy but also don't go to a loud sports bar. Maybe some place fun and exotic... like a Brazillian restaraunt - lots of protein there as an added bonus I see you're only 20 so ordering up Mojito's is a no no. Does she like sports? Sporting events are always fun because there is some form of entertainment, that way you can talk and be entertained when the coversation stalls. Movies are lame - and should be saved for further dates because conversation is imparitive at this point. I wouldn't go to a game unless you're certain she's interested in it.... What is she interested in? That is the key. Like if she likes pool go play pool - do what she likes without having to ask her what she wants to do... the idea is that you're not just sitting there talking.

My first date w/my boyfriend was at a groovy little coffee shop in the artsy part of town - lots to look at, good music in the backround, dim lighting and great coversation. And then we went dancing. Thats was fun for me, but we're not talking about me.
