Last night I went to see Fozzy in concert. They ****ing rock. I have never seen a better lead guitarist in my life, and I have been playing guitar for 10+ years and seen a LOT of live music. It was a very intimate venue, and there could not have been more than 200 people there.
Before the show we went up to the bar and Chris was there, just hanging out. Told him we were looking forward to the show and that we were sorry to hear about Eddie. He was like "yea it's a shame".
My roomate was right in front, headbanging like a madman and Chris pulled him up on stage, and he helped sing the opening song. This got the crowd pretty pumped and the show was great despite the small venue and small crowd. It was really cool... between songs Chris just talked about his hockey pool, and how Ottawa was going to kick ass this year. It seemed like just a bunch of people hanging out and playing music. Really low-key event.
In the encore, Chris chugged a beer and said "This one is for a fallen friend". The whole crowd errupted in "EDDIE EDDIE EDDIE" chants, which continued throughout the song matching the tempo. It was really ****ing cool. Gave me chills.
Oh, and the opening band was REALLY good. They were called 'Reason Dissapears' I think.
Anyway, I have video of the first 20 minutes or so of the show. I hope it turned out, and if it did I may upload it for you guys to check out if anyone is interested.
AFTERTHOUGHT: Chris is pretty small... I was on a step lower than him chatting on the stairs and I was still taller than he was. Also, he is big across the shoulders, but not impressively so. I think he was in much better shape when I saw him at the RAW house show. I was tempted to tap his gut and say "You bulking there chris?

" but I think it would have turned out bad haha.
