One thing I need cleared up...
When you say Bud Lite, do you mean that the beer is reduced strength alcohol (like 2.9% instead of around 5%), or that it has reduced calories?
In Australia 'Light Beer' is under 3% alc/vol; 'Midstrength' is between 3% and 3.8%; Full Strength is anything around 4%-5%; and you've got your extra strength drops like Delerium Tremens, Hertog Jan and Hogaarden Forbidden that clock anywhere from 7% to 10.5%.
We've got a couple of low carb beers, but they're still full strength.

Budweiser products, all the way.
Miller is owned by a South African company, so I won't even use their beer to cook with.

When I go out to restaurants I get Bud (not lite) but when I buy a case I usually get Miller lite. Once in a while I'll get a case of Budweiser and then the gut really starts to push out.

Ah good. That explains why I see so many people on the web drinking Miller Lite, Bud Lite and Natty Lite.
I just thought you were all a bunch of pussies who couldn't handle your liquor.
It also explains why one of my mates got ****faced on his first night in LA, even though he explained "I was only drinking Lite's all night. I don't know how I got so trashed."

I have to say Miller Lite, because I brew it everyday, here's me tasting the lastest batch:
As far as Alcohol strength is concerned, Miller Lite is 4.3%, MGD 4.7%, Mickey's 5.5%, and Steele Reserve is 8%. And for those who don't know, the big three make whats called "Stadium Beer", its Miller Lite, MGD, Bud Light, Coor Light at 3.2% Alcohol. So when you think the beer at the game is watered down, it is.

make that a bud
When the officers on board the Enterprise drink to get drunk, Bud Light is our choice.
The good beers are better reserved for other occasions.

My O on beer. Well drinking for the taste of alcohol is crazy, whoever says they do it for that reason is only fooling themself. the point of drinking is to get inibriated(sp?). Not neccesarily to the point of being drunk but you get my point. So what I don't get is why ppl want heavy beers, they don't taste good, like guinness for example, tastes like ass, and lets see you down 12 of them, way to heavy. True beer lovers love Bud Light or Pabst. Great beers that you can drink alot of. Hangover issn't as big of a problem as with all your fancy "cool guy" bears like purple haze and crap like that. coors taste like metal, michelob is OK, bitch beers taste great but the sheer amount of sugar will make you sick. anyway I love bud light and will stick by it's side forever!

hands down not even close. Budweiser products blow miller out of the water. miller lite is horrid. I don't know how any guy could stomach a lite beer anyway. I am not for pounding guiness but hell budweiser is the way to go.
As far as light beer amstel is the best thing out there. Tastes like regular beer. Pretty expensive though.

ah yes I drank some great beers over there. We don't have the quality of other companies as far as beer but we have to deal with what we got.
The best in America is to find a somewhat locally brewed beer. For instance Great Lakes brewing company (available in northern Ohio) has some GREAT beers.

i'm a true "beer drinker." i like lots of different beers and i'll try anything once. however, i just dont understand bud products. they're absolutely awful tasting. if i had to choose between miller lite and bud light, i'd absolutely choose miller lite.

I don't know how much truth there is to it, but I was told years ago that some of the profits Miller beer made were contributed to both gun control groups and gay activist groups.
I'm not making that up, but then again I have no idea how accurate it is either..... Whenever I hear that kind of stuff I tend to assume it was a bitter employee who got the axe from the company he is now making nasty rumors about.
Then again, I heard this one about Miller beer supporting these groups on more than one occassion.
