Complete lifestyle change is so hard when dad buys beer and donuts.
I'm trying to completely take the reigns of my chubby self and do the right thing. I've been eating clean now for 3 weeks and its getting easier and more creative as time goes on.
My dad does our grocery shopping and he is recently divorced and he buys nothing but crap. Donuts, beer, velveeta mac and cheese, cupcakes, chips, etc.
I have not touch anything of the sort in the last 3 weeks, but its so hard going to the fridge to bust out the chicken breasts when there's cold sam adams and various junk food right in my face.
To make matters worse... He refuses to let me go grocery shopping at all or even with a partial amount of the grocery budget
I'm 23 and I graduate college in May and I can't wait to move out.

Sorry bro. It's hard to resist junk food but trust me, it will help you in the long run.

Trust me, after changing your lifestyle and sticking to a regimine, it's easy to not eat junk. I think eating junk food, donuts, etc now is nuts, when I used to be the opposite.
Oh, and beer? Nasty!

I find it easy too, especially after I read up on saturated fats. I can't eat chips (fries) anymore - I've only done it once in 7 weeks and that's a big change for me.
Now that I've seen the results in the gym from doing a proper organised workout all I think about is clean food. I sometimes crave for stuff that people hate (oats, fruit, brown rice, etc.)
It may help to read up on junk food. For me now, donuts or any crap food = saturated fat = painful death. I put it up there with cigarette smoking.

Years ago, the day after I quit smoking, I went to visit my Uncle. Just as I was about to leave his house he says, "Hey, I got something for ya." Low and behold he comes out with a carton of cigarettes. I thought about it for a second; you know, like what to do or say? But then I grabbed the carton, thanked him, and headed out. On the way home I stopped by the store and picked up a box of book matches. I opened up the carton and placed a pack, with a book of matches, into my glove box. When I got home I placed a pack and a book of matches on my fireplace. The next day I brought a pack into work with a book of matches and put them in my toolbox.
There is a time when you face your enemies head on, and a time to run and hide. The choice is yours my friend...

that does suck. Its so much easier to eat clean when you are surrounded by all clean foods.

It doesn't have to be a COMPLETE lifestyle change...Allow yourself a beer, some donuts, junk food, etc here and there..don't just make it a habit and you will be fine...
And yea, once you move out..it's SO much easier to eat healthy...I have NO junk food in my house, so when I get the munchies, I have to settle with an apple or something of that nature...^^

After switching to a clean diet I find fastfood is just disgusting now. I went to wendy's today and bought a spicy chicken and the bun was all soggy, the tomoato was like half green, and they put on this pathetic soggy green thing I think they were trying to pass as lettuce. Tasted like ass plus on one of the bites I bit down and the chicken spurted hot grease on the side of my lip and now I've got this little burn mrak/zit thing....pizza places always have the most wretched pizza too. All rubbery with gross old toppings. From now on I'm cheating with chinese food and with things I make myself.
Oh and back on topic maybe go out on your own initiative (you're 23 right) and do your own grocery shopping. If your pops doesn't eat anything healthy you won't have to worry about him stealing your food, plus maybe you can get him to eat healthier by making up some healthy recipes
