Sleeping deeply...zzzzzz

What kind of foods, vitamins, minerals etc can one eat to get into a deep rem sleep? I've been a bit restless lately, I find myself waking up fairly tired, which causes some concentration issues during the day.

Can somebody help me out?

thanks...

Try melatonin, available at any drug store.

It's easiest to get tablets rather than capsules, because it's often dosed too high and it's handy to be able to break them. The usual cap/tablet size is 3mg, but this is too high for many people and can paradoxically cause waking in the middle of the night.

I found that it worked better for me at 1.5mg, and then even better at 0.75mg.

Edit: take about 30 minutes before bed.

I guess I have been stressing a bit lately due to work. I'm trying to relax to get my mind off of things by working out intensely but that doesn't seem to help with getting a good night sleep.

Does anybody else also have experiences with taking melatonin, like is it expensive, do you wake up fresh and ready to go? and so on...

I have sleeping problems, I'm stressed out as hell and gym is the best place for me to relax, even though I stress about my workouts too cause lack of sleep is ****ing killing, I usually fall asleep well but then wake up at night to piss and then I have trouble falling back to sleep. Then I have problems with waking up early in the morning and can't go back to sleep even though I don't gotta wake up yet,all these sleeping problems are a "HEAD" thing...if u don't have any problems your sleep is going to be good if you're a worrier like me you'll have these unnecessary sleeping issues! What really seems to help me is my bulk up pasta meal that has poppy seeds in it and they're known to be a great hypnoticum, they conatin a lot of calcium, magnezium, and zinc too so I don't even have to take zma

here's the recipe:
150g of pasta
150g of poppy seeds
200g of no-sodium cottage cheese
2 tablespoons of honey
