Chicken Fried Rice...

I forgot to bring my lunch to class today, so I bought this portion of chicken fried rice. Looks like it had rice (duh), egg, and some mixed veggies (the typical flied lice). I thought it would be a healthy option compared to the rest of trash they sell around here. The sub delis are too expensive atm, yeah im that poor. I mean I wont eat fried chicken everyday but is this a vialable "good" lunch option if I happen to forget my lunch again?

White rice + cooking oil + high heat = death in a bowl. I attend classes to and there is enough to choose from so you don't have to eat fried vegetable rice. For the same price you probably could of had 8oz. n/f milk and a couple of hard boiled eggs or a green salad or even a bowl of soup.....

It's not a DEATH in a bowl, but as previously stated, it's probably not the healthiest choice. You never know what goes around in another's kitchen. Ie. reuse of oil. Just don't forget your lunch tommorrow. It sounds like your planning to forget again sometime soon. If you honestly pack your food on a daily basis and forget here and there, then whatever you settle for will be in moderation, so don't worry too much about it.

If you have to order Chinese, go with a steamed chicken and broc with brown rice (not fried rice) combo.
