Question about sauna suits

Hello everybody this is my first post so i apologize if i put it in the wrong section. MY issue:

I have recently begun to wear a sauna suit top when i do cardio and when i sit inthe sauna. Since it makes me sweat a good amount. I am usually thirsty as hell after I'm done. Whe I drink water after cardio of the sauna do I just negate all the sweat that i just sweated. It seems cofusing to me. I sweat allt his water out of my body jst to replace it with more water when I'm done. Should i drinnk gatorade or something else when I'm so i dony negate the results of the "suit".

Any help on this issue would be much appreciated as I want to make sure I'm going about everything the right way.

I'm not sure why you are using a sauna suit to begin with. Trying to lose weight via the sauna is usually a bad idea, unless it's for something specific like cutting weight just before a competition. Your body NEEDS that water, otherwise it won't function properly, you'll start retaining more and more water and, consequently, begin looking more bloated. Saunas are good for recovery, for sweating out toxins. My advice: drink plenty of water, before, after, and during,. Gatorade might be even better. And if you are using a suit to lose weight, then you are going down the wrong path and sooner or later, I think that you're body will get pissed off and start ****ing up.

By Sept 15 I have to lose 3-5 pounds for work. (i'm in the military and unfortunatly on the overweight program). I weigh 174, 24% BF.
Im just using the suit until then. If I dont lose the weight I'm in some serious trouble.

Just use the suit right before weigh in. It is temporary weight loss and using it now won't help and might hurt.

Use it like 6 hours before the weighin. You just want to lose the water right before.

Sweating to lose weight just doesn't work because your body can't properly oxidize fat when it's dehydrated. So in fact you're actually preventing fat loss when you dehydrate yourself.

your not burning any fat dude. You're just aiding in the evaporation of your water weight. Unless you don't plan on eating again forever after coming out of the sauna, you aren't gonna see any changes.

I don't advocate screwing around with your water balance unless you're nearing a contest or a wrestler, but if you absolutely must make weight for work, then drop carbs perhaps 5-7 days before the weigh-in and then do the sauna as soon before the weigh-in as possible. As soon as you get out of the scale room, start drinking, start eating, blah blah blah. It's a temporary fix. If they weigh you again in the future and you're not prepared, you'll be in trouble.
