Angry cant STAND post workout shake w/ artificial sweetening crap! help!!

hi guys. im having a really really hard time sticking to proper post workout nutrition. the general consensus seems to be 50g protein with like 50-100g carbs. but the mix i make occasionally leaves me throwing up. even if i block my nose.

one of my problems is i really cant stand artificial sweeteners. they make me really sick. that said, this is what i use:

2 scoops isopure strawberry [god, i cant stand this stuff]
a blend of gatorade, grape juice, and hydra fuel [mostly dextrose]. always in different proportions. never tastes good.

im really desperate here. im going to trash my isopure. can anyone suggest some good post workout shakes, with brands and products and all, that are free from artificial sweeteners? like... protein powders made specifically for post workout... with all the carbs and ish included. i was thinking the Universal Lava stuff might be okay, or Endurox.

i wish i wish i could just down some myoplex lite with a banana and some milk and oj and some frozen fruits. mmmm...

please help!

what about the needed insulin spike? the fastest absorbing whey and sugar and all that balderdash? i mean, it has to be somewhat important doesnt it? or can you get that with the afore mentioned? i dont know what to do. ive read so much in favor of the overpoweringly sugary insta-whey stuff.

Force it down(literally) and follow it up with a piece of hard candy. I use this method to take my shake(which is incredibly discusting taste like rancid milk with a bad sweat after taste). The thing is there will never be a perfect tasting shake the meets the nutritional needs of post workout. The hard candy really helps cause it clears up the taste and helps settle your stomach.

So go drink those shakes with the same intensity that you throw those weights.

LOL! unfortunately, its not really an issue of taste so much. artificial sweeteners just make me want to, and in many cases do, vomit. im sure i could stomach a high sugar no artificial sweetener whey recovery drink... any recommendations? i heard optimum has a new one out.

If its artifical sweatners then just make your own. All you need is protein source(whey, casein, egg, ect.) and a carb source(dextrose, maltodextrin, fructose, sport drink, ect.) You can get all the pure basics from many website and they have nothing but the pure ingredients. Just mix them together in the ratios you like and drink it down.

I have no experience with ************** so I can't say anything I about them. I get my components from supplementdirect.com and they worked great good prices and the order arrived on time. I would check the next first to find the shake recipe you wanna make. I believe avantlabs.com had a good article on post workout nutrition. But then after you know what ingredients you need order them off the site of your choice.
