Unhappy cavles hurt after jogging

Sometimes my calves will hurt really bad after about 20~30 mins of jogging, it usually takes 2 or more days to recover. I've been jogging for almost 2 months now (2~3 times/week), and the problem persists. Does that mean my calves are not strong enough to sustain my weight during jogging (I'm 5.7 ft & 190 lbs) ?

Maybe you're getting shin splints?? Are you running in proper running shoes - do you need shock absorbing insoles? Take time to stretch before and after you run. Try running on days like Monday's and Friday's so you have rest in between. If it still hurts, ice it. If it starts to feel better go back to 3x a week.
