Very thin from side angles!
okay when i started bodybuilding i was 128lbs at 5'10 and i was skinny front view and i was very thin from side view, now a year and a half later i am nearly 170lbs(168lbs) at 5'10 and i am built solid from front view but i am still very thin from side view which is really frustrating me. I look at my reflection in the mirror from side on and get so pi**ed off that i am just not filling in the midsection! I do rows for the back and have also incorporated a lot of incline work for my chest but still i am gaining weight gradually and i can notice it front view and feel great but then side on my back has come out a little bit but everything around my upper chest and middle of upper back have just about stayed very similar looking to when i started at 128lbs!!!
This is really annoying me and i need to know if any of you guys have been in this situation and if you could tell what to do to really make me look bigger and thicker from side view please help fellas.

Well, judging by your post, you're lacking middle/lower back thickness. So deadlifts are what you want. And keep hitting those rows hard too.

I had and still do to an extent this problem. I am half decent looking at front or slight angle but dead on sideways I look like nothing.
That is why I am hitting the back and shoulder now big time

To the thread starter: As some have already suggested you should start working out your back if you are not already doing so. Compound exercises for the back is the way to go, deadlifts, squats, etc.

Mate, why would you want to fill out your midsection from a side view? Don't you want it to look slim.
I'm really skinny from side view but am pleased that I am.

He's trying to fill in the back, not the midsection. And unlike what most think, deads won't take away that slim waist. The mass of the erectors is actualy above on the middle back, and it'll just make your waist look smaller.

Yeah, working back and shoulders to get rid of the thin side view. Get big delts, traps, thick upper/lower back. Barbell rows and deadlifts for these are just brilliant. Awesome compound exercises to get mass in these areas, and the deads also do your legs
Used to think it was all chest to be thick, boy was I dead wrong.
Make sure you are doing proper form for max efficiency and prevention of back injury.
I have a question thread in the exercises forum on this site which should help called "question on deadlift/row form" or you could google it.
Here is a good site with a list of muscles/exercises with description and animated pictures demonstrating form. I reference back to these type of sites heaps since I am using a home gym.
http://www.shapefit.com/training.html
There are heaps similiar but they all basically have the same thing.

i am now been doing a lot of incline presses and this is helping me a bit and also i have been doing a lot of rows and shrugs but still can't seem to bring out my middle of upper back, i mean when i flex my traps i can see from the back view that it looks thick but when i unflex it kind of goes down a lot and then almost a deep gap inbetween the shoulder blades.. anyone alses thoughts will be very much apreciated.

your thin view prob has something to do with bone structure, you might not have a huge rib cage. there are exersise to improve that search it. other than that, hevy rows and presses are numero uno.
