zercher squats along side front and overhead

ok last time i tried these was a year ago. and they didnt feel too good, so i didnt continue. but i just had a little pop at them again in the home gym and they felt good. form was pefect but i didnt use that much weight.

anyway i'm thinking of putting them in my routine along side front squats and overhead squats.

waste of time? i'm gonna do it anyway to see for myself but just wanted to hear from peeps

I like Zerchers. (Just did them this morning, actually )

Front squats just never seemed to work out for me.....I just couldn't seem to figure out the form.

I think Zerchers are a real functional strength builder......since when you pick up a heavy box or something, you're holding it in front of you, rather than on top of your shoulders or on the backs of your shoulders.

You'll feel them in your legs, lower back, upper back, shoulders and arms. Your abs will also likely be sore as hell the next day. Good stuff

Edit: Also, I recommend using the foam pad on the bar.....it makes it a lot easier on your arms.

i don't think they're a waste; when i did leg training they were part of my routine and i loved them....the only bad part to them is getting used to the bar being in the elbow groove.
