help with my cutting diet almost there
hey guys im kind of on a budget so i wont be eating **** like steaks and lean beef, currently 170 wanna cut big time...dunno my bf...and i'll be only eating tuna and cottage cheese twice a week at most.
but heres what i have so far:
breakfast: 5 egg whites, 2 scoops protein shake, oatmeal with blueberries =
around 460 calories, 65 grams of protein
meal 2: 3 turkey slices + 2 slices wheat bread = 370 calories, 20 grams
post workout: 2 scoop protein shake = 240 calories, 44 grams
meal 4: 2 tyson teriyaki grilled grilled chicken breasts(maybe some rice once in a while) = 260 calories, 36 grams
snack(not everyday): edamame beans with salt= 240 calories, 20 grams
meal 5: cottage cheese(this ****s expensive so only 2 times a week) = 180 calories, 26 grams
total = 1750 calories(didn't add the calories from blueberries) , 211 grams
--------------------------------------------------------------------
then im lost from there, im thinking about substituing a tuna sandwhich with miracle whip for the turkey like once a week
and can i take 2 scoops of whey with milk before bread as like a cottage cheese substitute? cause it's also slow digesting with milk
and what makes a good substitute snack for edamame? what else can i add to this diet budget wise to make it more yummy
btw do i REALLY need flax or fish oil stuff cause i don't wanna be like a hardcore body builder diet
just wanna be healthy and wear muscle shirts again
and thx in advance !

sounds like you got the right idea, nice plans.
i think that is a good amount of calories to consume each day. just make sure it stays around there.
as far as consuming whey, you could add it, it is best after workouts and cardio, but just remember even whey protein has calories, so if you add it, be sure to make sure it doesn't overflow your volume of calories so if you have to, take something else at. (preferablly something else that woulda been your source of protein.)
i'm not sure what edamame is, but since you say its a sort of beans, a good replacement would be peanut butter or anything with nuts, like walnuts or something, not only are they tasty, but they have EFA's that may aide in fat burning.
flax and fish oils aren't NEEDED but recommened because of its benefits of providing a healthy form of fat, but as i said above, nuts have the same thing as these oils so, they're are not neccesary.
anyway, good luck to your goals, hope this helps.

sorry to butt in...
Ace of Spades
Sorry to cut in on this thread, but you seem to really know your stuff, and I'm going frikkin crazy trying to figure out a good cutting meal place, figuring out calories, 40/30/30 whatever, etc. Your stats are pretty much mine exactly. Would you mind if I PM you (or you me) and show me how your meal plan is set up, so I can use that as an example. It would be a GREAT help to me. Again, sorry to use this thread, just thought it was a good question with a great answer =)
