Pre set setups or movements

I know from bodybuilding (for about 11 yrs now) and throughout my profession (personal trainer) some people have a pre set setup or movement they do before they perform their first rep of a set. For a example, before i do a flat bench i always turn the bar 3 times and then set my hands then preform my reps. And i have always done this since i can remember, i dont know why but i just always do it. And i believe that moving th bar makes me concentrate and get focused for that set. I was wondering if any of you out there do a similar thing or a totally different thing. Some might think this is a "dumb" question, but i m just curious what other people do. So if you do just reply, thanks.

Before a set of deads, I put on great grandfather's ceremonial headdress, light fire around platform, and scream ancient warror cry. If the rain gods are with me that day, I can break 500.

for any compound exercise, sometimes I might repeat over and over in my head...

"Fu** you Bernie, you can do this."

It's simple yet oh so effective.
