I watched a film called "Hotel Rwanda" recently which was, although harrowing, a dumbed down account of the Massacre in Rwanda. I think there needs to be a raised awareness about these events particularly because people mainly remember the Holocaust as the last most horrific event in history. That is not to say it isn't a horrific event, but the fact that this is still happening throughout the most developed times in history with very little abhorence or substantial opposition is very worrying.
Thoughts?
