Talking Cashews, pistachios

I know cashews and pistachios are not at the top of the list for the best quality nut but they taste really good...lol anyways i was just wondering: if you consume a large quantity of these (as if you were on atkins but youre not) how would you carry out the rest of your day diet wise?? would you keep it low carb due to the high amount of fat intake?? I know this sounds like a cheating thread question but I was wondering what your thoughts are?!?!?!?

Nuts are high in fat (albeit healthy) and protein. I see no reason why you would reduce carbs, although sticking to a low-fat, low-calorie diet for the rest of the day would help reduce the 'damage' done by the nuts. It's far healthier though to include a small amount of nuts in your diet, rather than have a blow-out. Having a portion a day will reduce any cravings you have and can be included easily in a healthy diet.

Unhappy Take it from me...

...if your having trouble controlling the urge to binge on these nuts, do not consider them a resourceful option for good fats and/or protein.

In my experience as an "ex-nut binger", I've learned, whatever foods you have a difficult time portioning out correctly, the rule of thumb is, to avoid them like a bad epidemic.

I found 20 of the 167lbs, that I lost, as a result of a very long nut binge.... hic!)
