Carrot Cake from a Cafeteria / Restaurant

How many calories do you think is in a nice sized piece of carrot cake ? This cake has the frosting and its a nicely cut piece of cake. 500 calories? More or less?

That's probably a decent estimate. I ran a quick web search and found that a 10" round carrot cake with "frosting" has a total of 6,100 kcal. If you were to cut that into 10 slices, each one would have around 600 kcals each.... cake and frosting have a lot ot sugar in them and often a lot of fat calories from butter.

I ate a slice of carrot cake about 3 weeks ago. It was the worst mistake ever. I felt like I had a lead weight in my stomach for hours on end. The cake itself must have weighed 10 pounds. It's disgusting.
