Legless & lovin' it!
Squated my weight 12 reps 5 sets, first time in a very long while and I'm feeling legless (can't walk down/up a flight of steps, can't sprint et.al.). Is that how the big-ass squater always feel? Gee......
Going to add weights and reps to 20 within the week. Is doing this daily going to kill me? No? Then I'll do deadlifts in the afternoon (in addition to squats in the am). Am I nuts at 43?
Thanks

Not sure I fully understood your post but...
1. I would never squat more frequently than every 2 - 3 days because your body needs time to recover. I personally only squat every 5 days or so.
2. I wouldn't squat in the morning and do regular deadlifts at night since both hit quads. You could do a quad workout in the morning and a hamstring workout in the evening but thats pretty hardcore, unless your an advanced lifter I would just do one intense leg workout that consists of some of the following key excercises: Squads, Deadlifts, Leg Press, Stiff Legged Deadlifts, Leg Curls, Calf Raises, etc... (I'm not advising you do all these in the same workout, just some ideas though for a good leg workout)

Why on earth would you squat that often? And if you're physically able to, you're not squatting heavy enough.

Ok, perhaps I'm taking Stuart McRobert's BRAWN too seriously? I'll do this squats, rest-day, deads, rest-day, squats and so on. And half-an-hour of swimming everyday. How's that sound?

Thanks. By the way, I did 5 sets and that took under 30 minutes. How long is recommended and how intense (how many minutes between sets).
I'm 5'8" and 12 stone (down 20lbs in 2 years - not eating/sleeping right) and have 46" chest/32" waist. My legs look kinda nerdy in comparision to my upper body.
I've recently (6 weeks) started swimming (legs only - use a kickboard) and have noticed quite a bit of Biceps Femoris, Long Head & Semitendinosus development.

you can squat 3 times a week if you want to, just lower the intensity.
