Owning an Small Reptile/Amphibian
I am looking forward to owning a very small reptile or amphibian (prefferably a newt or small lizard). I was wondering if anybody has had any experience with such types of animals and if they could suggest a type of animal for me to research before I make a decision. I am only looking for small pet (like tiny newts, etc.). If anybody could help me here or in a private message that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys

Reptiles are easier to take care of, IMO. The largest example being: cleaning its cage. Reptiles don’t require a partially aquatic environment, (most-it doesn’t sound like you’re into getting anything too exotic). Unless you’re after something like an iguana, lizards, for the most part, are pretty low maintenance. Just be sure to get it a heat light with a bulb that produces U.V. rays. I’ve had several lizards in the past, a newt, and three snakes to this day. I’d recommend reptiles.

maybe you should look into pythons? Ball snakes don't get very big at all I think... Look it up cause they are awesome... Feed them once a week, they **** once a week, don't smell bad, don't make noise... yay!

You can only get it if you touch their feet, like if you let them crawl on you and then you put your fingers in your mouth...which I don't know why you would do that in the first place. I had a friend a while back that raised jackson chameleons(sp?) and that can happen with them too. He never go it. Just wash your hands after you handle it.

^^ but thats no fun.
Who wants a filthy lizard that could potentially disease them?
Stick with a normal animal like a dog or a cat or a crow.

You dont need no damn reptiles, I tell you what you need. Go catch a lightning bug outside and keep it in a bottle. It will glow for day, two if you're really lucky.

A Gecko!!!
I had a couple geckos in the past. Id suggest a Leapord Gecko, or a Tokay Gecko, The leapord Gecko is really laid back, but the Tokay is aggressive and it barks, Very cute I think. Both are awesome!!!

It depends on a few things:
1) $ you want to spend
2) terrarium or aquarium ... terrarium's are easier to clean but you need an aquarium if you want an aquatic turtle/newt/frog.... you can get a red-eared slider turtle (like my one, aquatic), see below. he's a super cool dude, i'll tell you more if you're interested
3) how much time you want to spend with the animal
4) how much money you want to spend with the animal
5) how large of a space you have for the animal
6) maximum size of the animal

Get yourself a Bearded Dragon. They are the only reptile that I have seen that each one seems to have different personalities from one to the next. Very cool lizards.
