Where were you when the Twin Towers got hit?

I was at my job, and got the news over the internet... first a college came over saying, the world trade center has been hit by an airplane, so I looked at the webpage with the first pics and could not believe it.

Than my college came over again and said another one has hit ... i was WTF ... than another one came over say, make that 3 airplanes.

I think we can all assume for sure where ever we life we will never forget the day when the Twin towers got hit.

Where were you when it happend ?

And Im European so don't start with if I have forgotten about all the incocent lives lost in Iraq and all since we Europens getting bashed for beeing "anti" american on a constant basis.

I was in bed very much asleep. My mum came and woke me up later at like 7:30am and said she had some bad news. My first thought was oh **** it must be raining I'm ganna get wet ridding to school.
We didn't do much at school that day, spent physics watching TV and talking about when WW3 was ganna start.

I was asleep for the first one, brother found out about it, came downstairs, started hammering on my door, I was like "wtf?" On 9/11, I was on my way to work and heard about the towers on the radio. I really thought it was some kind of joke. I had been to NY just a few months previous. I took it all personal and I was very glad that we fought back right away.
I am an American through and through. I support my president and the troops. I have a very good friend who is serving in Iraq right now.

I tend to agree with you FreshMint - I'm a vet - active duty USN from the first gulfwar. I 100% support our troops (it would be stupid not too - they are doing their job the best they can), I 100% love my country, but I 100% hate the current administration - for many reasons. Not agreeing with the current administration does not mean one hates one's country. Anyways . . .

Sept 11th, I was driving to work listening to the radio - they were watching TV and reporting everything they saw. At first I thought it was some stupid radio gag - until I got to work, and everyone was watching it in the main conference room. We had it easy IMHO - plenty of people in NY are still extremely emotionly messed up from that day - my cousin being one of them - he got to watch it first hand (lucky him eh?) - and now has to still deal with visions of people jumping to their death. Anyways . . . now I have to head to the gym and work out some aggression.

I was at the Barbers. He has a very thick Glasweign accent, so I was under the impression that an airplane had crashed into somewhere in London. It wasn't until I got home that I saw it on TV.

Anyway i was also asleep, then my dad woke me and we turned on the tv and it was on every channel, i was waiting for heaps of planes to go into heaps of buildings around the world, i thought i was lucky being near the beach

I was at school. When we heard about it, all classes were dismissed and we watched the whole scenerio on a big screen. I remember thinking if WW3 had just started!

we don't know anything that happens behind the governments closed doors. so anyone criticizing certain decisions our government has made is stupid because they are completely ignorant as to what the government dealings are. unless you are the presidents right hand man and know everything that transpires, you should stfu and have faith in the government we elected! What do you think brought about the Iraq War? Not saying I necessarily agree with it, but 9/11 is the reason we are in Iraq now. So please, stfu. I think it is good to remember such a tragic event, though it would be impossible for me to forget.
