RxFigure's BULKING Journal - Starting: May 17, 2005
Hey ladies!
I'm tired of hunting down my cutting journal, so I'm starting a new one for this bulking cycle. I'm planning on bulking through December and will begin cutting again at the start of next year. At this point, I'm going to shoot for Emerald Cup 2006, the largest regional competition in the country. It's a HUGE challenge, since I've only competed in one (natural) competition and this one's a national qualifier. I'm confident that I can put on enough size and diet down enough to be competitive, but we'll see when the time comes. For now, I'm starting another solid bulk! Here are my plans:
* lift 2 body parts per day, with 3 days on and 1 day off
* eat approximately 3,000 cals/day to start, with ratios at about 50/35/15
* cardio (evening jog) 1-2 times per week
* NEVER miss a workout
* Take progress pictures, weight, and measurements every Saturday to document my success
WISH ME LUCK!!
~Kristine

I was very impressed with how well you did for you first show, and will be eagerly watching your bulking process. I'm nearly on the same schedule, as my first show will be in March 2006, so hopefully I can pick up ideas from you.
Keep up the good work and thumbs up on those specific goals!

:-(
Well....so much for that "starting with a bang" plan that I had all dreamed up :-( The last few days have gone perfectly: perfect diet, perfect workouts....and today I really got set back. I'd just finished a solid bicep workout when I strained for that last rep on EZ bar curls and threw my back out (a re-injury that I got when I moved a few weeks back)...STUPID!!...I can hardly move tonight, and it's killing me just to sit up in this chair...so I'm headed to bed to rest, ice, and cry....
This sucks.

Welcome Back! I like your plan, It looks like someone is coming out with the BIG GUNS! So much so, you worked the muscle almost off the bone, huh?? Hey dont cry, Its just OVER DRIVE. I dont blame the press, it feels so good to be able to start fresh. Just like you will when you PROPERLY reapair that injury. Im lifting you up in the 'D'!

Sorry to hear about your back. I'll keep you in my prayers that God heals your injury. Not sure if you are religious so I won't go into detail. Try not to stress too much. I just got done running a half marathon and went to the doctor on monday because my foot hurt really bad and I found out that I have tendonitis. That sucks because I love running and I was starting to see a difference in my body finally. I just have faith that God is going to heal my foot and he will heal your back. Everything happens for a reason. I'm realizing that now. Keep your head up and good luck when your back is healed.
