Arnold's genetics VS Sergio's genetics

Which of these guys do you think had the best genetics for bodybuilding?

I think that Sergio had the best skeletal structure you could possibly ask for. Thick bones, yet narrow hips. You can tell he has thick bones because of his ridiculous forearms and calves. As far as mass goes, he could probably beat Arnold in terms of sheer mass as well. Unfortunately, it always seemed to me that Sergio had some trouble getting his head in the game. I've read that he was somewhat of a slacker in the gym, and he didn't diet all that hard. So for as great as he was, we never got to see how TRULY great he could have been.

On the other hand, I think Arnold's muscular shape (which is a genetic trait) was probably the best of all time. He wasn't as blessed as Sergio in terms of skeletal structure, but his superior muscular shape kind of offset this weakness. His biceps had a better peak than Sergio's. I also feel that Arnold was a tad more ectomorphic than Sergio, which may have helped him get a little more defined (although disclipline plays a large role here).

What do you guys think?

He was a slacker pre-Jones.

Sergio had a better muscle structure two, he had low sweaping muscle bellies, his biceps and forearms were so LONG and meaty that apparetly he could not flex them as most peopel could, according to Jones that is.

A lot of these pictures epitomizes how long Sergio's muscle bellies were, especially in his arms and calves.

Notice how he flexes his arms, his hands are more or less facing foward, lessening the "peak" in his biceps.

On a side note, his triceps were absolutely HUGE

just because sergio didnt look like he was working extremely hard doesnt mean he wasnt busting his ass.......his weight alone on dips was nothing short of amazing and anyone who does benchs superset with dips for up to 20 sets with hiskind of weight is busting there ass.....i think that if he had changed some things he would actually have been even better.....but i still think he more then acheived greatness.

sergio had more potential than anyone ever. he looked amazing just by eating whatever he wanted and working a full time job. his genetics were unmatched IMO, if you notice now days no one has the thin waist AND huge forearms and calves, except for lee priest, but he is short and doesnt have the sweeping lats and overall shape sergio had.
if he could have focused his life on bbing and had a trainer/nutritionist/drug expert like the guys have today, then he would have been completely untouchable to this day

Intensity is relative, I am saying there was more in SErgio's body that he didn't put out. Just like if you were to give Ronnie Coleman a workout for normal people (by normal I mean under 200 lbs), I would say that it would be a walk in the park for Ronnie.

I think Sergio had the best genetics. Arnold possibly had the better attitude and was more disciplined. Therefore he developed his body to compensate for inferior genetics and won seven Olympia's, whereas Sergio could have owned the Olympia in my view, but probably didnt have the drive and determination of Arnold. Looking at pictures of both these guys when they were younger, it is easy to see that Sergio had the better structure.

Sergio has better genetics in terms of body structure, wide lats, wide shoulders, narrow waist. Arnold worked harder in the gym IMO and had more concentration and dedication.

This is what I think. Arnold, compared to the average person, did not have inferior genetics, but compared to Sergio and others he had to overcome a lot (small legs, particularly in the leg biceps and narrow lats).

everyone back then was weak in the LBs...find me one person from the 60's to the mid70s that had split hamstrings...

well, i'm sure someone exists, but i sure haven't seen it.
