Jogging vs. brisk walking...

Hey fellas, I kinda let myself go over the holiday season and put on some pounds around the midsection, which im working on burning off as we speak for summer. I got my diet in check, and im doing my cardio 3-5 times a week.

I know this is debated, but which from of cardio is more optimal for fat loss and minimizes lean mass loss? Light Jogging? or a brisk-paced walk?? Ive heard varying opinions...I do about 2 1/2 miles each session, takes about 45 minutes walking, 25-30 jogging...

I jog just because you burn the same amount of calories quicker and it elevates my heart rate more so I burn more calories after I am done.

you should do HIIT, walk 1 minute at 3.5 mph, and sprint 1 minute as fast as you can (I do it at 10 mph, but you could start at like 7.5). But make it challanging!! Do this 1 min walk/ 1min run til you've reached a total of 2o minutes. You will notice results pretty fast.
