EZ bar vs Flat bar
Can someone please tell me whats better. Is the EZ bar better or is the flat bar better when doing cable pull downs and doing bicep curls. Thanks.

I hate ez-gripers.
The only thing I use them for is preacher curls.
Olympic bars all the way.
It does depend on your exersise though, ez grips hit some muscles better than a straight, but they neglect others.
There is no "better" theres only a "better" for that specific lift.

EZ-bars are easier on your wrists for curls. I never use a barbell for those.

Personally, the flat bar makes my wrists and elbows (especially) sore, whereas the ez bar does not. This is true for curls and, to a lesser extent, skullcrushers. That alone is reason enough for me not to use the straight bar for those lifts. I say safety first because if I'm injured I won't be doing any curls .

I get a better bicep workout using a straight bar for curls, then using dumbells for hammer curls.
The curl bar is great for skullcrushers though.

If you don't experience any pain doing curls with the straight bar then you don't need an EZ bar.

I use both. Straight bar is as much of an isolation exercise for the biceps as your going to get. I consider ez bar curls a compound movement because they bring alot of the forearms into play. Nothing wrong with big forearms is there? But as others have said the straight bar can be hard on the wrists.
