Jesse Duplantis: Did he really go to heaven?
Has anyone heard of the "reverend" (and I use that term lightly) Jesse Duplantis?
He's a funny guy, and has apparently been to heaven.
My friend gave me a print out of a story mr.diplantus wrote, about him going to heaven and seeing God(sic).
My friend fully believes him, and says the holy spirit works throuhg him.
I think he's a liar. Infact, me and my friend have got into three heated debates about him.
IMO, this guy is a fraud. Although I cannot finda link to his story, the actual event is riddled with so much bull it's unbelievable.
Amongst many other things, this made when to heaven in his flesh, SAW God (and even managed to physically describe him), spoke to jesus, COMFORTED jesus (since when does jesus need comfort from a man?), saw little babies with harps, had his house decorated with the finest furniture (did he have and xbox too?) and apparently everyone in heaven where riding around in chariots (God, the one above all, makes people travel around in chariots?)
I wish I could find a site with his story, but what's so sad is the amount of people (including my friend) that believe in this guy.
And why did God take jesse to heaven? Apparently to tell him that jesus is coming (no, really, this might come as a shock to some of you).
And how does jesse spread this word? By writing and selling a book about it. How noble of him.

As a Christian, I listen to the Word, anything that is Man made, such as his story, I ignore.
His story is really "throwed" off. People who think they need to believe these stories to believe in Love of Jesus Christ are a little confused.

I can't find the link to the entire story. All links seem to be previews to me having to buy his book. I'll keep searching.
The guy has some other crazy stories too (like the devil attacking the plane he was flying on with lightning, making a hole in the plane. He then shouted to the devil "you missed me").
And he seems to have som any damn books. I can only begin to imagine how much money this guy has got.

This was the final basis of my argument.
Why should I listen to this jesse diplantus (a man who wraps the scripture to meet his own needs) talk about the scripture, when I can read the scriptures myself.

People that can't have faith and believe need affirmation from other people.
It is exactly a parallel to atheists, they have to see it to believe it. For some Christians this is their form of seeing to believe. Completely unnecessary as you pointed out, because you should have faith and do the studying yourself.

Although Paul had a very in-depth experience, it is nothing like this guy. He has little babies with harps, and furniture, and superificial things...
God spoke to Paul, Paul did not SEE God (then again, Paul couldn't see anything for awhile). This guy reeks of something that isn't right.
I don't doubt people have their own interactions with God, I do doubt that that this man actually SAW God.

Good point. I've always wondered why so many people went to church on Sundays to hear some guy talk about a book that they can just read themselves. Last I checked the Christian church didn't kill people for owning Bibles in their native languages anymore.
Oh yeah, but that might take a bit of effort.. :/

check out what this joke, for lack of a better term, wrote
When Duplantis was a guest on Hinn’s program in early 2,000, he got into quite a discussion. “I'm going to say something that may sound controversial. Not long ago I was in prayer in my own study, and I know the Lord just like you know the Lord. And man I went in there and started off my day with the lord and said 'Lord Lord how you doing today. It’s going to be a great day. And I noticed the lord wasn't acting right, …cause I know God, you know when your child is not felling good, right. Hinn, right! You know when something, you may not know what it is but he wasn't acting right for lack of a better term. I know God I know him and I know the fulness of his presence , and I know him. And I said something’ wrong. And this is what I'm saying, it wasn't with me. And then it hit me, I said Lord you had a bad day? Now watch this (whenever faith teacher says this you need to pay careful attention, here it comes) I said and he said “Yea my children have been disobeying me” then it dawned on me. I said somebody hurt you today, I said lord I don't ever want to hurt you anymore so lord I’m going to cancel all my appointments and all this stuff that we call ministry and I'm gonna sit here and I don’t know how to say this God for a lack of better term, till you fell better. Cause so many people hurt him that day… Lord I said I'm just going to bless you I'm gonna praise you I'm gonna just call your name. And it dawned on me and the Lord went “Thank you Jesse.” (Interview-This is Your day, B. Hinn Feb. 2,000)
wow this is too much:
(another time Duplantis relates on his trip to heaven and how Jesus is tearful in heaven and Jesse puts his hand on him to comfort the Lord. Jesse says I didn’t realize how much he needs us, I always thought we needed him, God says “But I need you boy, I need you Jesse”)
people like him keep people away from religion

Hah, so does the reverend think that he, too, is omnipotent? "Don't worry god, I'll make it all better..." Funny stuff.

Yes supernatural things have happened to me included, however this goes beyond supernatural.
For anyone else that believes this guy, read this site.

are you going to believe that a man can console God? and that God is depressed
and needs man

like i said I will leave that to him and god i will give him the benefit of the doubt for the simple fact that he is a minister of the gospel ..........Whether it happened or not will not be determined by us.......I dont think man can console god but I believe jesse believes that he can console god.

right. so if a minister of the gospel teaches something that goes against biblical teachings, its fine because he is a "minister of the gospel"

but it can be determined by looking at scripture and seeing if what he teaches goes against the bible.
