Awesomly Fun Night At Wwe Show!
I used to get in the 2nd or 3rd row everytime (even scored once 1st) but that's when I was little, then I kept getting screwed up the @$$. Untill both Raw and Smackdown taped shows in WPG (on July 5th and 6th 2004 respectivly, maybe it was 6th and 7th...) ANYways I got crappy assed seats for smackdown but who cares? I entered a newspaper contest for RAW and got FRONT ROW SEATS!!! This was the week that EGUENE was the GM!!! I'm a huge Eugene mark so that was VERY cool! We were supposed to meet Matt and Lita but when we got there we found out that "due to story lines" it had to be changed. Who was it...was it a huge name? You BET! It was...edge? WHAT THE HELL?!? Who the hell wants to see him? Of course the chicks were practicly creaming in their panties but I was PISSED. I wanted to see the sensi of Mattitude (lita was neather here nor there). So our group is standing there waiting to meet edge...actually everyone else was...I was thinking about walking away. And we could see where they were shooting backstage interviews and stuff and I guess Edge was a moron and couldn't nail his so the guy came back empty handed and said that Edge wasn't available but we'd get to see.........chris benoit? Jesus tap dancing Christ!!! Things went from bad to worse...I mean yeah he was the champ but at least I had never met edge, not that I wanted to but I had already met benoit damn it! So chris came...yeah I'm calling him chris...were tite like that...lol. ANYways he comes with the belt and I gotta stand in line to get a pic with him, an autographed pic (which I already have...a better one at that) and a free shirt. Who is the shirt of? benoit? NO! Matt? NO! raw?!? god damn it...a generic t-shirt? F RIGHT OFF!!! I was already pissed about meeting benoit for the 2nd time (come on Ric Flair was there...let us meet him...hell I'd PAY for that) Seriously...I know what a legend he is and he is 2 busy for that kinda ****e but I would have gladly paid whatever I had in my wallet at the time (I was thinking of buying a replica belt so I had quite a bit) just for 5 mins. The only thing that made meeting benoit for the second time worth it was I got to have my pic taken with the belt. I figured "meet and greet" ment we got to talk to em for a few mins...ask em a couple questions but nope...line up...take a pic...get an autograph...free generic shirt...leave. A few notes from the show...when JR and King talk about how hot Kane's fire pyro is...they arn't kidding. They are sitting right beside it...I was on the same side of the ring as the fixed cam (meaning the cam was facing the other side not ours) though I DID get on TV :P. I also got a Eugene shirt (jelious?). It was SOOO awesome live...WAY better than the house shows. WAYYYYY better than on tv. Not to mention WAYYYYYYYYYY better than the smackdown taping the next night...*yawn* Ok my ramblings are done.
*Edited to point out the fact that I know that some of the names are capitalized and some are not. This is done for a reason. The names that are capitalized are more importent than the ones that arn't.
JR & King...Eugene...Matt...Ric Flair....more important than lita...edge...benoit...hmmm that's funny that edge and lita are there...seeing as how what we just found out *cough*whore*cough*

so..... you complained about meeting Benoit, and getting a photo with him?
You complained about meeting Edge.... you asked if we were jelious (some sort of semi-aqueous semi-solid form of matter?) that you have a Eugene T-Shirt....
Sorry, I'm glad you had a good time and all. But i'm kinda interested to see who flames you first, I know wwedivaxx is gonna have a crack ( ), but the Benoit fans will get here first i predict

I cannot believe you are bitching about getting to meet Benoit. For SHAME! Secondly, why did you title the thread "awesomely fun night" and then proceed to bitch for half a page?

It's my thread, I can title it what I want. As far as benoit goes...if you read the whole thing I had already met him once. Why do it agian? I wanted Matt, I was promised Matt. And if not him then someone new. Benoit is a great in ring preformer, though is getting boring and repetitive, but just not great enough to want to meet more than once. If it was the Rock, Flair, ect, then sure. And yes...I asked if you were jelious over my Eugene shirt. It's called joking, ever hear of it? Damn... guess when I was there buying it I should have bought you a sence of humor. Though I really couldn't have anyways, seeing as how they were sold out to the people who actually GET the whole "Eugene thing". Yeah I did do alot of bitching but that was about the 1st half hour or so...that wasn't even the show...it was BEFORE the show. The show itself rocked ass.

Wow..sensitive. I know I personally wouldn't mind meeting Benoit twice. And if it went over your head, he was mocking the way you incorrectly spelled jealous, not the fact that you said it. But clearly we don't need to give you more reasons to be pissy. It's your thread, go nuts...

Nah...I'm already there thanx. And I'd like to take this time so say I'm sorry. I guess I just kind of snapped there. We all have a filter in our head that tells us "uh huh, that's not a good thing to do/say". Guess mine wasn't working that well. I just type in the heat of the moment, though I'm sure lots of other people do as well. I don't want to start fights, I just want to sit and have fun (on the WWE fourm) and listen to and give advive on the other fourms. After all isn't that why we are all here? But people have posts with WAY worse spelling than mine. Obviously what I ment was understood. Am I the only one that types fast when I have alot of things to say? Guess so. Oh well. Done defending myself (which I shouldn't have to do). Keep in mind for the future that if I get insulted I will defend myself like I did here...though I guess I should try to be nicer about it (if that is possable) so as not to offend anyone. Ah screw it, I'll say what I want when I want and if anyone gets offended then too bad. Why should I change the way I am for anyone?

i would walk on a mile of thumbtacks to meet Benoit once, as an aspiring pro-wrestler who's not a giant roid-freak (no offense to you guys on the juice, even though Benoit maybe be on it himself although i doubt it), he's a huge inspiration because he made his way by hard work and dedication not by boning the boss' daughter or doing an insane amount of ass kissing (*cough* JBL)

Yeah JBL sucks. BTW thank you for expressing your opinion without bashing me for mine, I think you should get reps for that (though everyone should be acting like that anyways). Like I said Benoit is a great in ring preformer, though is getting a little stale (let's hope he draft fixes that...Benoit vs Angle anyone?) The only reason I complained is because I had already met him once. I was promised Matt and wanted/expected Matt. I was dissapointed. If I knew it was gonna be Benoit I would have went for Smackdown to meet Rey and Dawn Marie. But like I said I got my pic taken with the belt so it's all good. BTW seeing as how your going to become the world champ one day can you give me a shout out in your 1st promo after winning?
*Edit...why do you doubt he is doing roids?

HHH was already a main eventer and a heavyweight champ a few times before he was involved with "the boss' daughter."

True. Don't know why the boss is in quotes. But you can't sit there and tell me that if he hadn't married Steph he'd still be where he is today?

gee whiz you are a bit sensitive.... if you read my post again you'll see I didn't actually flame you, i just highlighted the parts of your post others might take a crack at, because we are wrestling fans, we appreciate it, and we appreciate the performers. You'll find a huge amount of respect for Benoit here, and people who would absolutely love to meet him. But to complain about meeting him twice... geez. I wouldn't think that's a bad problem to have, no?
Oh yeah, i was commenting on the fact that you wrote jelious instead of jealous.... though while I'm not remotely jealous that you have a Eugene T-shirt, I AM jealous that you've met Benoit, I'd love to meet the man.

What are you? That's for you to decide.... but what you have to understand is that on a board full of wrestling enthusiasts, MEETING a wrestler is a huge priveledge that many of us will never get. So, naturally we don't like to hear someone complaining about meeting someone we hold in very high regard. Whether or not you were promised Matt, you still got a WWE superstar, which again, some on the boards may never get to experience.

That is for me to deside? Really? Sounds to me like you already desided. Saying "we are wrestling fans" like I am not. Probably been a fan for more of my life than most anyone else, not only on here but in the world. Yes I got a WWE "superstar" but I had already gotten that one. I wanted a new one damn it. How hard is that to understand. The reason I "complained" was because I was promised one thing and got something else. If someone promised you they were going to do something then didn't, wouldn't that piss you off? Say for example someone said they were going to lend a movie to you, let's say "Goodfellas". Now for a week (or however long your waiting, I knew about this more than a week in advance) your expecting to see Goodfellas...then when they day comes he says that he can't lend it to you after all but he CAN lend you "the Usual Suspects". Now you LIKE that movie, but you've seen it before, you wanted something different. Obviously your gonna be disapointed

I haven't decided anything champ, and i'm not trying to flame you, just telling you why there was cause for dissention with your comments. I can see where you're coming from, and I understand your point of view. You wanted to meet a superstar, but instead met a different one who you'd already met, and as such were disappointed. You have to understand tho, that there are people who'd just love to meet any superstar, especially one like Benoit so bad that meeting them 3, 4, 5 times would be fantastic. When i said "we are all wrestling fans", I referred to this forum. Cos we are. You are a part of that forum, but at the moment your distancing yourself by seemingly arguing with a lot of people here. I don't doubt your a wrestling fan, but from someone reading your post, it completely came across that you were annoyed that you "had to get Benoit". To most, that comes off as unappreciation. That's why i said we appreciate the product, and the stars.
Perhaps you worded incorrectly, I dont know. But complaining about "having to meet Benoit" as if it were some disappointing chore, that doesn't go well with me. And yes, you'll find wrestling fans of all types here, new fans, to people such as myself and othes who've been watching their whole life. I too have been watching pretty much since before kindergarten even. Some have been watching it before they could walk. It's not a question of how long you've been a fan or how you consider your fandom, it'll rub off badly especially on this board if you show what appears to be a lack of appreciation for someone as respected as Benoit.

So you were hoping for Lita but instead got Chris Benoit? That's the let down of the century. What a shame, you got to meet the hardest working man in the WWE and one of the greatest (in the top 3) professional wrestlers of all time, TWICE. I'd consider it an honour to be in your shoes on both occasions. You didn't deserve to meet him the first time!

Thank you for finally geting where am I coming from...at least in the 1st half. I in now way shape of form show any lack of anything for him. I mentioned several times that I agree he is a great in ring preformer. I'm not taking anything away from him in the ring (though he IS getting stale). If it was (almost anyone else) I would have felt the same way. Except for obvious exceptions. Such as Rock, Flair, Foley... don't get me wrong I like Benoit and his matches but he is just not on the same level as them. But if I had already met Matt or Eugene and they told me I was going to do it agian. Don't get me wrong, I love what they do and all but it's not like I got to sit down and talk to the man. If so then yeah...I'd prefer Benoit over Matt. Hearing his stories about training in Cargary with the harts for example. But it unfortanatly wasn't. The point of this wasn't to bash Benoit...the point was...ok, honestly I'm not sure...I saw someone else posting about how they got front row seats to a house show so I figured I'd post this.

I'd consider it an honour to be in your shoes on both occasions. You didn't deserve to meet him the first time!

Uh, not Lita, Matt. As far as the top 3 that is HIGHLY debatable and a can of worms I am NOT going to even come close to opening. Deserve it or not I did it. And got the pix to prove it.

Yes, him being in the top 3 is debatable, it's my opinion so I will stick to the issue. I was disagreeing with you because it seemed like you were showing, as Gradman said, a pure lack of appreciation. You seemed too ungrateful about meeting him again instead of meeting another wrestler you haven't met yet. You described it like it was hell for you to stand in that line, get a picture with him, an autograph and a free t-shirt. Many fans, and some on here as you can see, wouldn't complain about meeting the same wrestler a few times, getting a couple different pictures and some free merchandise. I could expect The Rock but instead get Benoit and I wouldnt be disappointed about it. I'd be grateful to meet with any superstar 2 times, 3 times or 10 times in a row. Especially a wrestler the high caliber of Chris Benoit. But that's just me.

Hey if you want I'll sit and talk all day and night with you over who the top 3, 5 or 10 wreslters are. PM me anytime about it. He'd almost for sure be in the top 10 but there is no way in hell it'd be in the top 3 if we are talking " of all time". If we are talking today then there is a good chance. I already said a few times that I am a fan of his an enjoy his in ring work but I was disapointed because I was promised one thing and got another. BTW you mentioned getting the autograph and meeting him but you forgot about the pic with the belt :P
